2024 US Presidential Election

These two guys are the sorriest presidential candidates that I've ever seen. We have a choice between a guy who is obviously too old for the job and won't admit it and one who is now a felon, a pathological liar, and also too old!

You couldn't cook up a bigger nightmare election if you tried. Today's Supreme Court decision to allow presidents wide-ranging immunity to prosecution only adds fuel to the fire.

Who ARE these people running our country? Or should I say ruining our country?

 

Anyone that would vote for Biden is cuckoo. That debate with Trump just reinforces my opinion of Biden. I think Trump will pick either North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum or Senator Marco Rubio as VP. Trump will have excellent Cabinet member choices that will listen to the American people.

 

Not when the alternative is Drumph. Anyone but Drumph. And voting third party is throwing your vote away, so the only logical choice is Biden. Republicans should have voted for Nikki Haley over Drumph to be the nominee.

 

Trump is going to win if Biden runs. If he (Biden) drops out, the Democrats will have to nominate Kamala, and she has even less support than him. Biden's choice of that idiot as VP was his insurance policy against being dropped.

 

I would have voted for any Republican candidate for President. Unlike Biden, they would have all secured the border. To me, it’s policies over personality.

 

If enough people voted third party, it would not be throwing vote away.

RFK Jr. is also old, but actually spoke about things that matter to people and he made a lot of sense. But, no, Americans will vote for either of the senile morons, where there is truly no lesser evil choice. I think I will throw my vote away.

 

I humbly disagree with the word "only." This is a momentous decision in its own right. You don't need to wait for the presidential election to determine whether democracy will survive because... It's dead, Jim.

Then again, look at the bright side. I do not expect Biden to take the hint or even to see it, but he could do the right thing now with no fear of repercussions: Have Trump assassinated at long last, dissolve SCOTUS, and repopulate the latter with human beings. Sotomayor, Kagan, and Jackson may come back.

 

Look, these are the cards we're dealt.

You either have a raging psychopath who's doing everything in his power to tear down the fundamental values and principles the country was built on. He attacked Congress to stop them from certifying his loss. He threw his own vice president out to the wolves. He tried to intimidate Georgia's Secretary of State into adding 15,000 votes to his pile. He sent fake electors. He rigged the Supreme Court into giving him absolute immunity. He has gaslighted half the country's sanity to shreds. He has put the country closer to civil war than it has ever been in 150 years. It's all just because of his massive ego.

Or you have an old man past his prime who desperately tries to hold the Union together.

 

I predict that Biden will announce he will not run, and Kamala Harris will be the Democratic Party's Presidential Nominee within the next two weeks. Time is running out, and November is not far off. The Democratic Party is losing votes daily as they flounder with no one in charge. It's time for quick thinking and facing the present moment's reality. Without Kamala Harris, they will be soundly trounced in the presidential election and lose a lot of seats in Congress.

It looks like she's not too far off from Biden, but none of the usual alternatives look like certain improvements. Michelle Obama polls favorably against Trump.

You are not a U.S. citizen and can’t vote in our Presidential elections. The American people will decide who is the next POTUS. Biden and his administration is a failure by every metric. Look how many people died because of his stupid open border policy.

 

Things are not exactly coming along this way. Trump has been granted immunity by the SCOTUS and is ahead of Biden in the polls, while major Democratic media and party supporters want him to drop out.

The Democrats are getting what they deserve for keeping a president with dementia on the ticket and convicting Trump of 43 felonies for paying off a porn star.

If Kamala is so great, they can nominate her as the presidential candidate.

It is a tragedy. The reality is the country has probably not had a decent president since Carter, who was universally dissed. That's my impression, anyway; I was barely born when he took the helm. Reagan/Bush Sr. set this country on the path of oligarchy total dominance, which we see today. Clinton was a clown, just rode the early Internet boom prosperity. Shit really started to hit the fan with the moron Bush Jr. administration and their wars, to be followed by destructive Obama years, which installed the woke virus.

Then we had the narcissistic idiot Trump, who won only because he was a TV celebrity and Hillary was just off-putting (and dangerous), who ruined the economy by literally dropping money from the sky in response to the Covid pandemic, the effects of which we are feeling now. And then we got the total imbecile Biden (check some videos from well before his presidency), who is now demented and who took the woke policies into overdrive, further fueling the social rupture.

The sad part is this country has been divided on purpose by injecting the corrosive woke/racist agendas with transgender ideology on top of it - using useful progressive idiots and opportunists that support these agendas without one shred of critical thought—the same kind of people who supported ideologues like Lenin or Hitler. Evil in itself, but it has the predictable effect of riling up the bible belt and the assorted rednecks who rally around Trump.

The reality is this society is fucked by the oligarchy, who laughs to the bank. They set up an incredible system of fleecing the sheep, privatizing gains, and socializing losses. Sheep, both woke and Trumpsters, fight against each other rather than their real enemy. But it is working as intended. I indeed worry this will backfire in some uncontrollable fashion where even the oligarchy may say, "Oops."

I think it explains why the Kennedys are so against RFK Jr.; he is an oddball, but seemingly, he wants to go after oligarchy, and they cannot have that.

There are enough people here who could be described as middle-of-the-road, but they do not seem to get representation and fall for the fallacy of not "throwing the vote away."

For the record, per statistics, I belong to the "wealthy class" above the upper middle class, somewhat benefiting (in the short term) from these deranged policies. Still, in the long run, this is unsustainable, and hence my grave concerns for where this is all going. If I had not suffered from tinnitus, I think I could have managed (to an extent). As it is, I am barely staying alive.

Biden does not need a bill. He ruined the border in the first place. Plus, the bill was extremely compromised. It was also packaged with billions more for Ukraine, the latter of which some Republicans still support.

Biden cannot be trusted with anything he says. We need a president who will deport as many illegal aliens ASAP and improve border security. Biden will not do this. Kamala has failed as the border czar and has done nothing to help.

 

I’ll listen to Speaker Mike Johnson’s opinion of Biden’s border crisis and Biden’s mental state. He has a lot more clout than someone from Norway. Bill O’Reilly said Biden is the 2nd worst President in American history. He is almost done with his book “Confronting the Presidents.”

 

They are both obviously highly biased and partisan, so you can safely ignore whatever opinions they give on the matter. Trump was actually voted the worst president in American history. So, why would anyone vote for him to give him another shot of an even worse term than his previous one?

We had no invasions by Russia, or wars in the Middle East or elsewhere during Trump's term. Yes, he's the worst president in American history and Biden was the perfect person to deal with this horrendous record and set us on the correct path.

Take a hard look at this: Politics is dynamic, with each side waiting for the other side to make a blunder.

Well, Trump didn't have to wait long.

So if Biden hangs in there, his best hope is that Trump makes an awful blunder.

As it stands, Ceteris Paribus, the indicators say that Trump will win, so Biden hanging in there does not look like a good idea.

However, if Biden is to be replaced, the people who arrange these things must ensure that Biden's replacement can beat Trump. Is Kamala Harris up to the job?

Otherwise, it looks as if Trump already has it all in the bag.

Trump is making a mistake/lie every time his mouth moves. He was the worst president ever. He handled the pandemic very poorly, which led to a large number of deaths and people debilitated with long-term COVID-19, and also to skyrocketing inflation. The list goes on and on. He was the worst president in history. Now, he wants to take health care away from tens of millions of Americans and increase inflation with additional tariffs (Trump taxes) to be paid by Americans while giving tax cuts to the rich.

He says he won't defend NATO countries and that our enemies can do whatever they want with them. Trump will talk about low intelligence, but that describes himself. A while back, he thought Obama was still president. And he got Nikki Haley mixed up with Nancy Pelosi. His own vice president and many Republicans won't endorse him. I've yet to hear a rational reason why anyone would vote for that convicted orange clown. He doesn't care at all about this country, only about himself.

Regarding the border problem mentioned, it's still an issue because Trump didn't want the Republicans to vote in favor of a bipartisan negotiated border deal because he thought it would hurt him politically, which comes at a great cost to this country. Yet, he's blaming Biden. Ironic.

 

Boy, do we have dark clouds on the horizon!

We are commemorating the D-Day Normandy landings this year and the sheer magnitude of the effort made by your Dads -- or Grandads in braving stormy waters to make a full-frontal attack up the beaches on the Nazi machine guns and artillery. But they did it with a high attrition rate.

I hope it won't be as dramatic for us as it was for them. As a matter of fact, we all held our breath for the UK election some days ago. The French, too. They haven't quite voted in a far-right government, but Macron looks like toast at the moment.
So it' all eyes on the US and they are the biggie.

We are spoiled for choice when it comes to what to worry about. Take your pick. A Trumpian America in November? The collapse of Ukraine and the return of the triumphant old Soviet Union? I tend to favor Climate change and global warming myself, but if none of these is to your liking, you can consider a Chinese quarantine or strike on Taiwan... or all of these things together.

 

Anything is better than a Bideniam America. At least Trump had press conferences and had the border secure. I like the idea of Trump and Speaker Johnson working together. They will both listen to “We the People.” like they are supposed to.

The White House has formally announced that Biden will veto the Republican bill that seeks to prevent noncitizens from voting.

There is no hiding it now. Biden and the Democrats want illegal immigrants to vote in the election this November. Our elections are NOT safe from mass interference as long as states do not require proof of citizenship to vote in federal elections.

 

The noise that comes out of the Democrats' asses makes more sense than what comes out of their mouth.
