Where is it listed ototoxic?Acetaminophen (Tylenol) is listed as ototoxic
I had taken 1 pill per day for a couple of days, and it hasn't spiked my tinnitus.Has anyone taken it and they have been okay?
I wish there was a sticky or something on TT about that site. The author has no medical or pharmaceutical qualifications. Infact they are in forestry! Why he writes about audiology matters is beyond me!
No references, what is tinnitus123? You may as well be reading what somebody posted on their Facebook. The following is from THIS LINK: -
See above for my thoughts on that author. He should best stick to forestry, not anything medical related. The following is from this article: -- Non-Ototoxic Over-the-Counter Pain Relief
Says it depletes glutathione, so just take nac. Can't vouch for its accuracy. Acetaminophen is also listed in ototoxic drug lists, but then again so is fricking everything. I think if you eat it daily like candy, it might be an issue. Here and there should be ok, otherwise there'd be lots of bad press like there is about NSAIDs.I don't like that site.
Acetaminophen is not a NSAID and therefore is safe to take.

Yep, and they are antidotal internet reports which are impossible to verify. It's beyond me how the author was able to get the ATA to use the list on their site. Some of the drugs only had a few cases reported in the last ten years.
