Here is an interesting site - there is hope yet.
Apparently there is a neuromonics clinic at UCSF:Anyone heard of any Acoustic CR Neuromodulation clinics/centers opening the U.S. anytime soon??
Apparently there is a neuromonics clinic at UCSF:

Tonal High Pitch since early 2011. Chronic, pretty bad case, sudden onset (no apparent cause, woke up with it and into the horrible T world). Done and continue to do many things, like everyone. Seen some discussions about Acoustic Neuromodulation in Europe (UK and Germany). Saw that someone had mentioned they had tried it, anyone aware of any success?? Currently looking into the London Clinic. Obviously costly, esp coming from Boston, MA. Thanks. David
i will soon do some acoustic stuff and will update about it
Hi Philip. So how was your experience of the neuromodulation device? As posted earlier on this thread I will be off to London tomorrow to have my first consultation/tests on my participation of the Neuromodulation device trial in the UK...I will report back on the findings in the next couple of days...hopefully all is good...
So it didn't work at all? Were you confident in accurately pinpointing the frequency of your T?
Yep, it's expensive, but there's the possibility of a refund though, except for the consultation fees. Of course they likely expect you to hand out nearly £6000 before they give you the device, so even with the possibility of refund it's a lot of money to give away for a short while...
If the device had a no-refund policy, I'd currently suggest it to nobody, as I haven't been able to find published results from that first trial and the two additional trials are only now starting...
Hi Robb.
Interestingly. Who offers this in Germany?
Most tinnitus clinics here prefer TRT.
Best regards, Martin
Hi Rob,It will be a noiser rauschgerät i get
Hi Rob,
OK. So the white/ping noise generators (which are different devices than ANM Neuromodulation).
I also have them, but they don't help for my high pitched T.
Since I have hearing loss in high frequencies, will go for hearing aids.
Normally I would not need them for speech, but in high frequencies they give me more input.
Best regards,
Martin
No but you can do it online for free. It actually does silence it for me for periods of time (minutes to hours). Try it out.Hi guys,
Is there any news regarding Acoustic Co-ordinated Reset?
I think that we respond differently to sound - take musical tastes as an example. I could react badly, through emotional connection to a sound, and become worse; whereas somebody else can find it pleasant and feel better. My biggest issue with ANM is that it irritates me, I can't ignore those 4 repetitive tones, not tuned to the equal temperament scale (or any musical tuning for that matter). There is still that question - do you hit the frequencies of t (residual inhibition), all frequencies but frequencies of t (notched music), or neighboring frequencies to t. Why are these therapies all so contradictory? There has to be one that works best? Or is everyone's t so different, that each response is different? Also, I do wonder with these research statistics from studies, how much is funded by the company itself?
