Hi Everyone,
I am 70 and had a tumour for 35 years now...yep with Tinnitus.
I elected not 2 have it removed because its a major and dangerous op.
Found through a scan, had many after that and non for past 20 odd years as nowt changed, deafness in high frequency areas and to anyone that cannot take that frequency, get it CHECKED?
So I am on here to advise anyone with same condition that takes at least 20 years to grow by the way, to watch who plays with ur ears, like syringing/sucking out ear wax. In all professions u get the gud, bad and UGLY, I feel I have just experienced the latter. I have had my ears sucked out of ear wax many times, no probs, then this one medical practice decided this time to not send me to a hospital but to send me to another practice that specialised in ear suction...cheapness, who knows?..but I am NHS patient so yes feel cheapness!
I said when he started that I had a tumour to ensure he knew so can u put it on very reduced suction?..he went onto must have been highest, I shot off the chair, he smiled!!-I said sorry do u know what a tumour is and have u done this b4, he went odd saying I am a doctor, I said of wot exactly. I allowed him to continue and wish I hadn't now.
A few days later I experienced the worse tinnitus in 35 years, I went 2 my doctor who had sent me there, he said it will die down, well it has NOT!-So next is a hospital appointment 2 hear what damage he's done.
That's some advice to people who have their ears looked at?
