Who else got tinnitus and all these symptoms after an acoustic shock trauma?

It improves over time? Any recommendations? Supplements?

I'm falling....

It should improve over time as long as you protect your ears when you go outdoors. Use quality ear plugs. Some folks use sound therapy but others say you need silence and time to let them heal. Sometimes the level of my tinnitus drops overnight so I'm hoping they're right. Good luck to you. Keep mentally strong. You'll have good days and bad ones but hopefully you'll come through it stronger.

@Ford
How about the constant pain? A moderate hyperacusis. That also should go away?

What's better to stay protecting the ear and stay home or to just push myself to noise

Silence it's better or pink and white noise? Can I use the fan?

Thanks. I will try it. Should I use my head set in low volume? Or just the speaker from my phone? I want this pain to move out. I could take time months.... Right?
Do not use headphones if you have painful hyperacusis.

yes, hyperacusis with pain (noxacusis) has evidence of reducing significantly or possibly and I say this with modearte skepticism being cured.

there are three people I know on this forum who had very bad painful hyperacusis that claimed it went away completely using sound therapies.

It tends to fade for most people.

Have you experienced any fading in the past 6 months?
H is even more likely to eventually be over than T. It might still take 6-12 months before it happens.

The t it's all over screaming.

The pain burning somedays gets worst. This morning was better than now, it feels like a lighter burning inside my ear.

I still have some fullness in that ear. Can Tensor Tympanic be the one making a nerve hyperactive? Burning cooling feeling thats something with a nerve. I'm trying some antiflamatory drugs and a medrol pack... again.

Just took melatonine and tumeric pills to the mixed.

Michael, I was recommended to chat with you.
Constant Burning cooling pain that's a sign of hyperacusis? Sometimes stabbing... :(
After loud concert. It could take month's to improve but it should go away?. Pink noise machine? Or white noise? I was told to get an oasis sound machine.
Thanks

Hyperacusis affects people in different ways and your symptoms could indicate hyperacusis. Although what you describe: constant burning and cooling pain and stabbing, doesn't seem like typical signs of hyperacusis to me. I advise you to return to ENT for more tests on your auditory system and get a referral to a Hearing Therapist/Audiologist for treatment. Hyperacusis can be complex to treat depending on how severe it is? A Sound Oasis machine can help but you first need to find out what is causing this constant burning and cooling pain that you describe.

@1000

I agree with Michael Leigh that an ENT should investigate the cause of the burning ear pain. The main thing is to protect from anymore dangerously loud sounds with ear protection when you're outdoors. Road drills, motorbikes etc, have potential to make you worse at the moment as I know to my cost. Try to keep calm and relax as much as possible as otherwise anxiety can take hold. Try to lose yourself in a good book.

Hyperacusis patients also experience sound fatique. At the end of a day their ears are tired and less tolerant of noise. Almost all hyperacusis patients experience a symptom commonly referred to as fullness in the ears. It is a feeling where the patient feels pressure in the ear or the sensation that someone is actually pressing on their eardrum. Other patients feel pain or burning in the ears.
