Any Tips for Getting More Sleep When You Have Tinnitus?

Are your sounds reactive to external sounds as well? And do you know the cause of your tinnitus?
I'm not really sure if my T is reactive or not. I'm fairly certain that the cause is from going to concerts, night clubs, and other loud sounds. At the end of last year I sat in a theater for an hour and it was far too loud, and after that I've had this intrusive T. I'm guessing that it was a long build up and that was the straw that broke the camel's back.

I struggle getting off to sleep because of the constant high pitched hissing. Sometimes I can be awake until at least 4am and then tend to get some sleep simply as I'm so tired. Not keen on taking sleep medication.

Can anyone suggest anything else? Do pillow speakers help? Or any Apps?

And what is white noise please? I've seen that mentioned when looking in the App Store but don't know what it is nor whether it might be beneficial.
I find it more stressful trying NOT to hear my tinnitus.

Instead, I lay in bed and focus on the racket, telling myself that I am safe.

Eventually, I fall asleep.
