Hang in there Jason. There are no magic pills or potions for this unfortunately. I have tried just about every prescription medication for the stresses and anxiety but all in all, it comes down to just getting used to this racket we hear.
The only thing I use now is a 3mg Melatonin supplement about half hour before bed to help me get into a deeper sleep. Sleep and diet are most important now. So is focusing on other things that take your mind off of this noise even for a bit. Get outdoors more and just live your life. Some exercise is awesome treatment for stress. You don't need to pump iron or jog 20 miles, just go for a walk or small jog, bike ride, whatever...... Some people found getting a pet dog or cat has been a wonderful distraction too.
The odd time life throws a spin back at me and I do have left over Diazepam 5mg tablets that I can take for a couple days if I'm really stressed out. Gotta be so careful with this stuff tho. Once in a blue moon they can't hurt.
