New Research Topic
For those interested, there is a new research topic launching this year:

The research topic is similar to the so far highly successful research topic on tinnitus:

I have personally contributed considerably to influencing the metrics of the research topic on tinnitus heterogeneity. For the average person, it is indeed very easy to contribute - all you need to do is share the material via the social media (usually through ratings/re-shares of existing material). So a pretty effortless and inexpensive enterprise really.
I mention the above while also keeping in mind some significant upcoming forum stats: 250,000 messages and 20,000 members. The tinnitus community has a history of lethargy when it comes to promoting its own interests. Perhaps the above can serve as "inspiration" to a few new advocates who want to help out (like those who have joined the various teams and ideally should be doing a basic minimum anyway, right???). Indeed, of the nearly 250,000 messages this forum has, I doubt more than 2-300 posts actually relate to research advocacy. And of those 200 to 300 forum updates, I doubt more than 50 have actual relevant content (and of those 50, half are probably my own in any event...). So, perhaps an opportunity to shift the focus instead debating for the 200th time whether LLLT works or not.
The two research topics are competing in different years and hence there is no competition between them. It is therefore "safe" to support both.
