Hi all,

I'm new to the forum.

I have a 6 month old baby, and last night he sort of screamed very close to my right ear, which is my ear with the worst tinnitus and hyperacusis. It wasn't really a scream, more like an angry sound, but it felt really loud.
I freaked out and spent the rest of the day checking for new sounds as I could feel my H flaring up. Today my right ear is definitely worse and it feels like new tinnitus sounds are present and I'm so scared and angry with myself because I normally wear ear protection around him when he is in that mood.

I've had tinnitus since 2016, noise induced.

So I guess I'm looking for some hope that this might calm down again. Is there a chance of that you think? I know no one can answer that for sure, I just really need some advice and hope :(

Go right now and call around to every ENT in your city and see if there are any that offer IT injections of dexamethasone. If you can't find any, your next best bet is to get oral steroids. Act quickly.
