Hi - this is my first post/question to the group. I had pulsating tinnitus briefly a couple years ago - either when I was lying down or after exertion. However, I haven't noticed it in a long time. This week I woke up from a very stressful dream with my heartbeat pounding loudly in my right ear.

Should I be concerned? Do I need to get this checked out right away or can it wait until my next appt? If I should get it checked out, which doctor should I start with - primary care or my neurologist?

I do have a long history of migraines and I take a medicine that helps with my headaches and also helps to manage my BP.

Thanks for your feedback!

If that happens to you rarely, I think there is no reason to be worried about it.
