So, I have to wean myself off of earplugs because I think they are causing vasospasm in my ears (scary, I know). But for the same reason, I cannot get exposed to loud noises of any sort. This includes driving, walking around traffic, etc. So I still require some form of hearing protection.

Because musicians earplugs, foam earplugs, and noise attenuating earmuffs are all not an option any longer, this is the only reasonable option left.

For those who use these headphones:
1. How good are they are blocking out environmental noise for you?
2. Can you use them in noisy situations and find great relief, even with hyperacusis?
3. How good are they at blocking out low frequency (road noise, in particular) and high frequency noises specifically?
4. Do they have a noise reduction rating (NRR) for them?
5. Is there an occlusion effect?
6. Any other benefits to using this as effective noise protection?

All of this information would be great to know in influencing my decision, if you lovelies have answers to these questions. Thank you very much!

They don't protect you from loud noise
Only work well for constant noise like road noise , aircraft cabin or train noise

Why not simply use Peltor ear muffs when required ?

I think I'm going to start exploring options for road noise. I have an older, less insulated car. I'm just wondering if they're legal for me to wear while driving.
