Can Tinnitus ACTUALLY Drive You CRAZY?

Yeah I wanted to know if people kill themselves because of tinnitus... that's the thing that scares me the most. Not being able to recover and being forced to kill myself one day.
Me too. I don't want to die because I'm generally a pretty happy person and like life, but it's really hard not sleeping and getting wrong diagnosis over and over again. It just gets tiring. Mine fluctuates a lot too, so I just keep telling myself that there are good days ahead and it will get better. Not sleeping is what makes it really bad.

Three weeks ago, after years of habituation, my tinnitus started bothering me again. I don't know what caused the spike. Maybe it's due to the cold weather, maybe it's a consequence of using earbuds for video conference.

Fact is that my low pitched hissing, which was basically bearable, turned into a high pitched sound.

There were two or three days when it came down to my normal baseline but eventually spiked up again.

And now I don't know what to do.

I don't know if this will be temporary or permanent. I don't know how I should proceed.

I would like some advice please.
