How long does it usually take before it calms down?Yes allergies can cause tinnitus with the extra mucous and inflamation going in your tubes.
Antihistamines and a nasil spray can help.

I have had tinnitus for a little more than 2 weeks now and it is very very slowly fading away. How long does it take to be considered permanent? Is 2 weeks to early?@m4gnus - it can take months.
In my case, 1st generation antihistamine calms it down in the next day if I take it in the night. My tinnitus was never linked to allergy, but my blood test show that I have allergy. How long does it usually take before it calms down?
In most cases it disappeared within 3 months(by statistic in my country).I have had tinnitus for a little more than 2 weeks now and it is very very slowly fading away. How long does it take to be considered permanent? Is 2 weeks to early?
Thank you, you give me alot of hope <32 weeks is nothing for tinnitus and way too early to be considered permanent. Since you're already seeing improvement at such an early stage, chances are good it will continue to fade. Protect your hearing though to be safe. Keep us updated on how you progress.
