Can Tinnitus Be Cured? What Is Going to End Up Being the Cure?

It's accurate: they did report complete elimination of their T. It's unfortunate that it didn't stay that way of course, but I didn't think it was expected to stay that way (I read that the expectation would be to use the device regularly because of the way it works).

The reason why it didn't hold may be because spondylosis/osteoarthritis and/or kyphosis/hypolordosis/military neck wasn't addressed first. If sound changes with movement then several things could connect with that. It could be the upper m. trapezius, masseter and sternocleidomastoid muscles. Issue of the spine/joints will place stress and pressure on cervical muscles.

Are there prerequisites today for a real talk about the significant prospects for discoveries on the treatment of tinnitus and the regeneration of the inner ear, as its main cause, in the next 8-10 years?
So far the prospects in this respect are very unobvious and gloomy. Indeed, the regeneration of such a small organ, moreover, located in the thickness of dice, makes the problem of access to it itself a problem. Now, 3 companies in the world are fundamentally engaged in the issue of regeneration. There are many years of research by the scientist Douglas Kotanche, it was he who discovered the ability to regenerate the ear cells in birds. But many scientists directly state that there is not enough funding, and there is not enough attention of officials.
Anyone who has not encountered this problem will never understand this. At that time, as, for example, oncology is known to everyone.
In such conditions, talk about breakthroughs in research in the coming years can not be said.
Bill Gates spent $ 40 million to create an "idnal cow". while ATA, for all time received 15.
Also, the general development of stem cell therapy, in general, is in its infancy today. Regulate this activity officials.

I am not sure about that: if you read the research article (or watch the video where she describes the mechanism of action) you'll see that the device targets specific neuronal activity and - if I read correctly - works at inducing a reversal of the maladaptive plasticity that occurred.

My take on it is that this maladaptive plasticity is still ongoing after you use the device since the root cause is still there, so it will still build up, while the device tries to reverse it out. It's like taking out water from a leaking ship: if you are fast enough you can keep the water at bay, but if you stop putting water out, the leak will slowly bring in more water. As long as you can be faster than the leak, you can keep your boat with very little water, but you can't stop working until you actually plug the leak - which this device doesn't claim to do.
