Carnosine Can Cure Tinnitus?

This is a drug that is only supposed to be taken 2-3 weeks at the most.
The comedown from this drug is supposedly worse then heroine ...
It will cause cognative problems and in some cases T .

Dont want to freak anyone out but ...yeah , not advisable or worth it in my opinion.

I know. I'm f**ked...maybe...actually no, I most definitely am.

Clonazepam, it's a helluva drug.

@Rube hey i have been taking clono for long alright but..within few days of taking L-Carnosine...curing process accelerated...natural healing/habituation...was well on its course...this just helped its move faster...thats all i am saying....@RazaH...i am taking 0.125mg of Clonozepam( Rivotril)...as far as i know...any drug/medicine can be ototoxic/addictive/bad side effects if taken any heavier dosage.....i know few people taking such medicines( though for different reasons) for alomost 2 odd decades without any problems.

mine is not pulsating....its hissssss...i started having improvment in noise from 6th month onwards...but major reduction has been since last month and a half...

I personally believe that benzos will be hell to come off of with chronic T/H.
What are you gonna do instead? How will you sleep? I don't even want to think about this scenario.

I did find something that gave me a little relief. A Calcium, Magnesium, Zinc combination capsule.
It relaxed me during the spike time. My spike time has come full circle. Spike time is when the sleeping meds wares off. Late afternoon early evening. I admit this awful circumstance.

Will give you my experience. Note that my GP's suggest my symptoms/tinnitus is related to either Epstein Barr Virus or some kind of Lyme disease and I'm quite certain my T is not to do with hearing/ear damage. My tinnitus is in one ear and quite high pitched, some days it would be quite piercing and I have a wooshing sound when laying down.

Started taking 3x 500mg caps twice a day (NOW Foods brand):

14 July 2015: First day taking the caps, no change.

15 July 2015: I felt like my T was slightly less bothersome, could definitely hear it but just didn't annoy me as usual, really odd and hard to describe.

16 July 2015: I felt like the volume of the T had gone down, again just felt less bothersome but didn't really know for sure or if I was imagining things/placebo effectg.

18 July 2015: I can hardly hear the T in the left ear. Even when I cover my ears I hardly hear the ringing if at all... Very strange. I still get the wooshing sounds when I lay down but the ringing has almost faded.

So not sure what to make from this, but something has certainly happened since taking this stuff. I don't know if its even safe or if the T will stay quiet long term, but I honestly feel that the L-Carnosine has had some effect. It may not work for everyone, heck it might not even work for me in the long term but this is my progress to date.

can it be your good days and not a progress from this thing?

I don't think so. I have not had days where the T has been this quiet. It has gotten objectively quieter for me since taking the Carnosine.

Again I don't know if this is a long term solution, and I still have some kind of tinnitus and ear noises, but there has been a reaction to taking the carnosine.

Update: Haven't taken the carnosine for about 2 days as I've not been home, it seems the tinnitus has gotten louder. Still quieter than original volume but definitely can hear the T in the left ear.

I will start taking the carnosine again when I'm home and see how I go. If someone can brief me on the safeness of this stuff, that would be good :D
