Does anyone have any experiences (good or bad) with having a stent inserted into a cerebral vein or artery as a treatment for pulsatile tinnitus?

I have had pulsatile tinnitus for over two years now. I recently had a cerebral angiogram and have been told I have cerebral venous sinus stenosis (on the right side). They also did a pressure test which showed a pressure difference of 11 mm (of mercury) across the vein. Next week I'm scheduled for a lumbar puncture to check for excessive brain pressure. And then, later in the month I'm scheduled to have a stent implanted in the vein behind my right ear. Just like the angiogram, they will go in through a vein in the groin.

I'm quite relieved to have found the right doctor who can finally tell me what is with the whooshing sound. The prognosis and treatment plan sound right to me and I'm eager to get the implant. The stent procedure has only been around a few years, but the limited case studies I can find online have had a positive outcome. I just want to make sure this is the right move before an implant is put inside my cranium...

So, has anyone else had this procedure, and how did it turn out?
