Yeah, poor disgraced was ordering in a very rude way for them butlers to remove the inkwells from the table. So useless... But hey, royalty is crucial for a nation to function. Let them live like gods and don't dare to question it.Charles III was fumbling with a pen to sign in the condolences book... this is a sign he's prepared to be King. The poor pen ruined his day. His greatest problem is signing stuff haha.
LOL.Sausage fingered reptile doing his best.
Yeah Rock oversold those stunners every single time lol.he stunner was such a great move. It was fast, impactful, and at that time unique. The Rock was overselling there, they would joke around to see who can sell it the most ridiculously way lol.
So now you're equating someone who supports the principles of a particular monarchy (a form of government) to a white supremacist. Gotcha. It's a good thing you said "for me" because the false equivalency here is breathtakingly stunning. I wouldn't know where to begin. For me, supporting royalty plays in the same league as saying white people are superior to the rest of the races
Nah, you won't see me defending that swine ideology. You can stop with the guilt-tripping now. Totally uncalled for.wouldn't be surprised if @ZFire did and could even try to justify elaborating "arguments" he has read somewhere and now repeats like a parrot).
And yet the estimated contribution to the UK economy (pre-pandemic) from tourism generated by the royal family is £1.766 billion per year. You don't think that's valuable for a nation? You keep talking about this folklore stuff, but not realizing the impact the royals have on the UK economy too. This is not a cut and dried matter like how you're making it seem. The majority of British people (62%) support the monarchy. You're telling me all these people are similar to racists? Are you kidding me... Did you watch the procession today? So many people of all races waiting in line to see her at rest. Some to bow, say a prayer, mumble a wish or give thanks. The endearment for the Queen is sincere, pronounced, and without doubt. But to you, they are blind sheep... And yes I 100% agree income inequality is a problem, but I don't think you understand what's causing it and what we need to do to fix it. That's a discussion for another time though.Supporting royalty is acting like if there were people out there superior to the rest of us just because they have born in a particular place. The rest of us have to struggle financially while they live a life of outrageous privileges. And that's just the peak of the iceberg when it comes to royalty outrageous existence. Again, just because they have born in a certain place. Just like racism. You support inequality and disguise it with pathetic folkloric propaganda. A nation doesn't need a family of filthy inbred scavengers to function.
I admire your perseverance @ZFire. Maybe you and @El BUZZ can just agree to disagree. So now you're equating someone who supports the principles of a particular monarchy (a form of government) to a white supremacist. Gotcha. Look, I have no dog in this fight. Monarchies are a foreign concept to me and I'm not even remotely affected by it. You're free to express how you feel about the monarchy too. I only took issue with your hostility towards the Queen. You were celebrating the Queen's death, trying to attribute the sins of the monarchy squarely on her shoulders, and so I felt I needed to pushback on that. I called out your one-sided thinking and provided more clearer context in the half-truths some of your posts contained. And now I feel like we're just talking in circles.
I can do this all day, but at this point, discussing it here in this thread is starting to feel awkward for me personally. So I'm ready to drop this subject unless you want to take this somewhere else. I don't mind.
That's right. Finally Lizzy is in a box. Let her memory die along her.OK lads, time to put the Queen to rest, arguments ain't gonna bring her back.
LOLTo me the Queen's greatest significance is as an alleged symbol of stability and continuity... This is probably the more widespread interpretation that would try to ignore she lost an empire and under her rule the UK became totally irrelevant in world affairs.
Continuity is not always good when it only works in favour of the privileged and against the rest. Today rulers and politicians are basically "making it look temporary" when it is permanent. This would apply to inflation (YES!!! I had to bring Lagarde into this) and also to a permanent deterioration of quality of life, work vs personal life balance, family time and purchasing power... The ones in power say "hey, this is going to change in five years" and then change the story so that it only worsens and worsens, while the lives of ordinary folks go by and nothing changes.
Someone worked hard for her to have her "special looks", that were elegant but also bordered on the ridiculous and anachronic. Sometimes it was a bit like watching a walking Playmobil. Examples:

He also had his own special look:

Well... ummm the hope is that in time we can grow a replacement leaf (or whatever). It happens a lot in Nature.I sometimes think that trying to fix tinnitus is like trying to repair a flower's broken leaf. Simply impossible.
The only problem with Nature is, well we humans have destroyed that part.Well... ummm the hope is that in time we can grow a replacement leaf (or whatever). It happens a lot in Nature.
Looks amazing, E. Grounded Mother Earth.View attachment 51709
@UKBloke, here we are boots off at the entrance into Ireland oldest ring fort. The positive energy is amazing.

Inside the ring fort, nothing there anymore but positive Mother Earth.

Looking across from the ring fort at Kaedeen Mountain where we sat a month back looking at the ring fort.
Fascinating shots of Ireland's early settlements. The fact that the one on Kaedeen mountain is the oldest doesn't mean it was the first, by any yardstick. They just haven't found the others yet. How come it's in such an isolated place behind the Wicklow mountains away from the main drag? The only problem with Nature is, well we humans have destroyed that part.
One thing for sure, it's definitely original, Earby, what the hell does that even mean.
Send them over. My cat has every mouse around killed off. Needs new critters to hunt.
Earby for tinnitus makes me think the universe has a sense of humour. Anyhow... hope you're good, E, and the ears are behaving. One thing for sure, it's definitely original, Earby, what the hell does that even mean.
Brilliant photos. Did ya take your boots off?Earby for tinnitus makes me think the universe has a sense of humour. Anyhow... hope you're good, E, and the ears are behaving.
Ended up at this place the other day. Milecastle 39 and Sycamore Gap (aka The Robin Hood Tree).
Can still feel Hadrian's army pounding the ground there...
