Chit Chat and All That...

The Last Airbender is one of my faves as well. So well done. Then you should check out The Legend of Kora. Also, they came out with The Dragon Prince.

Yes I was shocked I've never seen it before, really enjoyed it. I'm definitely going out The Dragon Prince and The Legend of Korra, thanks for the recommendations people :D

It's really cool that you mentioned Avatar, mate. By far, best animated series ever made. Has been my favourite show for years. I really loved this scene in particular:

The fight with the Fire Lord was also insanely good.

Am watching Korra as we speak :)

As I said to Shera I'm shocked I've never seen it before. I love that scene as well, so many tbh. It's such a well written show. Loved the fight between the fire lord and the one with Katara, Zuko and Azula!! The lost days of Appa as well. The message about the elements and how they were used , connected etc so good man! That's one I will be watching again.

Is The lengend of Korra as good?

There is a film as well, have you watched that?

I don't know if you have Hyperacusis in addition to Tinnitus. I would never recommend a war movie to anyone that is suffering from H. Mine subsided some time ago and is barely noticeable now.

Yes, it's good and add an additional star being you're a British lad.

Ah man!! I've been talking about this show non-stop since rewatching it a while ago. Indeed, many amazing scenes.

Azula was one crazy bitch, but her signature blue fire is really cool. When they lost appa in the desert, poor Aang lost it... It's beautiful how, prior to mastering the avatar state, only deeply traumatic experiences could trigger it (e.g. When he found out all the air nomads had been decimated or when he lost appa). Such powerful scenes.

I think that, in terms of character development, I liked Zuko's story the most. He literally went from the main bad guy to a good guy. So cool how they illustrated his transition; he actually became physically ill on the verge of his change. Ah... And uncle Ihro, he's the true MVP. The embodiment of wisdom, harmony, and zen.

Leaves from the vine, falling so slow...

I can go on forever about this show!

I'll risk hurting my elbow if we can get more people to sign it!!! :inpain:

I have mild H Jim, nothing too bad. I do miss going the movies but I'm happy to wait until it comes out on disc, I do like a good war movie.

Legend of Korra is decent, but not even remotely close to the last Airbender. The thing is, Aang and Korra are opposites. I liked the fact that Aang was so... For lack of a better term 'pure'. He was fiercely against violence and always tried to find a way to solve conflicts without resorting to violence. As for Korra, she's more into that kind of stuff. I don't want to spoil too much. It's a cool sequel (more like completely seperate story) with its own appeal. What I really liked about Korra, though, is that the origins of the avatar are explained. Really fascinating.

As for the film. No, no, no, noooo. Please do not watch it. In my opinion, it's terrrrrrrrrible.

Yes my favourite characters are Zuko, Ihro and Katara and appa of course.

Azula was another great character, I loved seeing her slowly lose the plot and I oddly felt sorry for her.
Zuko's transformation through the series was so good, as you said I love the way you actually seen him being made sick due to the inner turmoil he was going through.

I think the show was actually quite deep for a "kids" cartoon and could be dark (Katara ready to bloodbend the guy who killed her mum and that woman who taught her blood bending all dark themes) I think a lot of the issues and themes would go over the kids heads. I loved the episode about the moon spirits, loved the whole theme and message about the harmony of living together, the push and the pull.

Such a good good show, so happy I found it.

Yeah that's what I loved about Aang as well and he wasn't sickly fake pure if that makes sense. I'm definitely going to watch Korra and I'll have to watch the film haha I'll give you my review once's I've watched it haha

Ugh.. Azula. That women should be in therapy. I think she was just deeply unhappy and insecure. I found it to be quite disturbing how she lost it at the end, especially when she was chained. I agree man, I feel sorry for her too.

I saw avatar for the first time as a kid. And back then, I loved every minute of it. But only when I was older, I understood all the symbolism (many references to Buddhism for example), and indeed, all the dark themes. I mean, seriously, Soka was high on 'cactus juice' in the desert, HOW IS THAT SUPPOSED TO BE FOR KIDS? Hahaha!

Blood bending will have a major come back in Korra btw, and it won't be pretty... I've had this really nasty joke with my mates about blood bending... They would make great porn stars. Really bad, I know. Frankly, I think it is overpowered...

If you had to choose one element, what would it be? I'd go for earth or fire, I think. I loved metal bending in particular. Tuff was a badass girl!

Yeah was hella crazy, she had major mummy issues man. I don't think therapy would of helped her ha ha.

That episode was funny, him and momo (I think that's his name) were high as hell Ha!

Mate that's funny haha but you are right, they would make a fortune no more tablets needed for those "actors" eh ;)

Great loved the whole blood bending but agree way Op.

Water I would be, loved the meaning and thought behind it, so serene but so deadly as well.

Toff now that's a badass (y)

Haha I couldn't resist Once, made me laugh when I did it, please don't hurt me though haha it was all in jest :D
Haha... Oh, I'm sure you laughed, you silly man.
Seriously, I wish more people would just sign the petition. I don't get why we still don't have a couple of thousand signatures.

Im not gunna lie, I'm not surprised Once, I've seen this too many times on here. People talk the talk but when it comes to action there is little of this. It's sad but true.

I'm so excited you get to eperience them for the first time. I love that feeling.

Though I guess I've only seen season 1 of the Dragon Prince so I'm getting some of the magic too. I'm also enjoying the reboot of She-ra! (See my avatar!!)

Yeah I'm a grown arsed adult enjoying a cartoon, but I have no shame
I've seen that advertised, I'm not sure how I feel about it, is it worth a watch as well?

Oh they carried on the story on in the comics, has anybody read the Airbender comics then?

I'm not judging I've long ago learned cartoons are great. I was an anime fan before I realized what anime was so I've been on board for a long time. Besides I think the fact that the Simpsons, South Park, and all the other "adult" cartoons have long proven there more than just for kids.

I do think the new She-ra reboot is well worth it. I love it's face lift and story. Not to mention if you were a fan of the old show the nods are hilarious!!

Well said. Zuko was the most compelling story and basically anything with Uncle Ihro.

It took me a while to warm up to Korra, but once I did I really enjoyed it. It's fun seeing how opposite the two were. I also thing there were some issues with the network not supporting Korra. I mean it almost got cancled how many times! And then had to finish up on streaming only. *sighs*

I've signed it and done my duty of tweeting and spreading the word. I am surprised how low the number is, but we'll get there!

Fantastic Shera!
I wish more people would just wake up and see how important this is!
I mean, really! I wanted a cure 8 years ago! Sighing softly.
