Chit Chat and All That...

Yeah I remember when they first come out decades ago and people were selling them framed in picture shops. They would have them displayed in the windows and people would be looking at them all excited saying look at the dolphins jumping, or monkeys swinging from trees, I saw NOTHING!

Eventually one day I was able to see them, but it still takes me a awhile, My eyes definitely go funny :D
Inside this picture of daises there are seven distinct objects.
Whoever is first to identify them deserves their own genius logo........xx

Going to the beach for the first time in forever tomorrow. I'm sure it'll be fun, but I'm worried about the noise. Any of you have experince with this? Will swimming plugs help?

I may not have Hypercusis, but I do probably have Phonophobia. :dunno:

Sounds divine, aot. It will be fun for sure, the waves, the ocean breeze, all the beautiful sounds of sea side nature. I have been to the ocean a few times since getting tinnitus and I never once had a problem. I didn't go swimming though, If you do, it might be a very good idea to wear ear plugs.

I have gone swimming in pools since. My ears are weird because my eustachian tubes are shot, but it doesn't really affect my T. Except it seems like it muffles it a tad. Maybe I should worry about it, but I only use a nose plug. Haven't used ear plugs yet.

I know the first time I went swimming I went to 10 ft and my ears "farted" it was weird.

Just finished BoJack Horseman. Such an amazing show, ended at just the right time.

Now I have one less reason to put off watching Castlevania.

Will update you guys after I get back from the beach tomrrow. Maybe getting out a bit will be good for me.

This is awesome! I actually like to decorate for Halloween almost as much as Christmas. I really want to make a custom graveyard for the front yard and I want a dragon so bad!!
My grandchildren would love your yard lol.... I did buy a life-size skeleton zombie Pegasus horse with animated flapping wings, this is in the garage in a box :D

@emmalee this was too big for under the staircase

I got my new BBF around December 2017 and it's been a fucker of a rollercoaster ride ever since.....

Yeah they are ruthless, people trafficking, drug carting, money laundering etc etc. If they are "good" drug lords they should never touch their own goods haha the parties must of been an er experience to say the least.
When I look into the future, I see a single pill that can solve each and every T case. Oh, how great would that be.

Yup. You know what they say: Never get high on your own supply.

So I mentioned how I've been doing worse with my T lately. So a friend let me borrow a copy of Tinnitus, From Tyrant to Friend: How to Let Go of the Ringing in Your Earsby Julian Cowan Hill. So far it lines up with what I've gathered has helped others, and how I've been approaching habituation. I think I'm at level 3 and I slide down to level 2 sometimes.

I know some TT members don't like the guy and his book, but I'm willing to give it a go. After all the author does not claim reading the book will cure your T or anything. It's all about what I've already been trying to do to accept and live with T. Because it's clearly hear for a while or forever.

Has it helped anyone here? I watched a lady's video about how this helped her to habituate and found her story very inspirational.

It's your tinnitus, your journey and your personal business, Shera. If reading the book helps you in any way, shape or form then this is positive, in my opinion. :huganimation:

Agreed 100% @Shera, we all have our own paths when it comes to this condition. (I know that I certainely do things that many other members would deem foolish, and right now I'm better than I've ever been in the last three months.)

I have my own feelings towards Hill, but as long as you're not doing anything that would actually cause you harm, and this book helps on your path, you should keep going. ;)
