Country Music Thread

Hey @Hudson ! I thought you might be somewhat lonely in this thread so I'm gonna help you out :) Even though I'm not a commercial country fan, I really dig americana, folk, freak-folk and alt-country. And pedal steel guitar is one of my favorite instruments. Gonna post some favorite songs even if I can't listen to them myself with H and all.

Peggy Honeywell is a really under rated artist. Beautiful voice. This whole album is a masterpiece.

Neil Young, a fellow T sufferer and also had H for a year or two.

Oh. I figured out how to post a video. Sorry I was practicing. Took me a while to get it down.

You may get sick of my choices here....

The above is dedicated to Tinnitus people.

I love the sound of the simplicity of the acoustic guitar and a voice that is clear with a story to tell....
Practice post number two.

Hum...

Had trouble trying to post the above. But figured it out.

Dedicated to the person who runs around playing with strings.

Humble and kind...always

I don't know but when a person states that one should make their life better by doing charity work...that is the wrong message. One does not give charity to make their own life better. There should be no personal expectations when a person gives to others.

You quietly do so because it is the right thing to do. And you stay humble knowing in your heart another's life may be better just because you gave something.

Charity is humble and kindness with no personal expectations.

Just like people cannot demand respect from others. Respect is an unexpected gift.

Humble and Kind.

HA. Honey-Bee. I get it. I don't know JeffM.

Tried to post the Blake Shelton song but embedding was disabled. And it is a bit hoky but cute. The videos with lyrics only don't really do anything for the song.

Meanwhile his rendition of She Talks to Angels is a favorite.

I prefer the sound of steel guitars and fiddles ringing in my ears. How about some George....one of my all time favorites.

Minimos you should like this one from George:

I am just learning this posting links still...

Big and Rich have a unique harmony and I use this in my music therapy songs. This one was important to me a few years back when I was in a murder/suicide support group for people left behind. Back then no one from the "normal" world could understand the pain. And I understood that. So have empathy for anyone you may met who has been through life altering ordeals. Hug them and simply listen.

I think I am now getting posting videos!!

This one is just entertaining. Still that harmony keeps it as one of my choices for music therapy.

Sad loss for country music. Troy Gentry (50) died yesterday in a helicopter crash.

Most do no know this is his brother John Mitchell Gentry:

And another loss yesterday Don Williams:
