I have suffered with tinnitus for over 38 years. I went to see an Audiologist yesterday who stated the reason I get dizzy spells is because I have crystals in my ear that are misplaced.

I told the specialist that the only time I suffer from the vertigo spells is when the tinnitus gets very loud.

Has anyone heard of this?

Yes. One common treatment for this is actually a dietary change.
What did your doc suggest for next steps? Were you diagnosed with Ménière's?

No..I was referred to a physical therapist. The results of my first vng. in 2015 test suggest Mieneres disease, however,I was never diagnosed.
Vng test repeated and this audiologist states the problem is a misplaced crystal.I still believe for me the dizzy spells occur when the T is very loud.

I've been getting these dizzy spells too... almost like walking on a boat. When I called Audiology to make an appointment for this they suggested misplaced crystals which I'd never heard of? I truly hope it is that and not the start of Menieres!!! Any ideas what causes the misplaced crystals?! X
