I tried to properly match the tone, but the frequency was waaay up there. Sometimes I felt like if the pitch got any higher, it would escape the threshold of human hearing. The only way I found to describe it that other people seemed to at least have some ability to grasp was to ask them to imagine receiving and broadcasting old, scratchy a.m. radio distortions in their head, all day, everyday.

Keep hanging in there. If the tinnitus is calming down, there is no reason the other symptoms won't as well.

Thanks for the update. It is good to hear that the tinnitus has lessened. Then there is hope!

How long did it take before you saw improvement?

This is good news that your tinnitus is lessening, what a blessing. Hyperacusis is pure hell, I hope it gets better for you @BrysonKingMe. Stay strong buddy, consume garlic and fish and don't give up. Praying for you and in your corner always.

Thanks man, things are improving slowly. I appreciate it.
Yes, it got better very quickly. I wish I had tapered in 2 months and not 6.

This is probably the best answer to any questions people have on this forum.

Anyways, I cycle with headband covering my ears to cut out the wind noise. I do not use earplugs or listen to music via headphones. To each their own.
