Hey everyone,

I am quite new to this forum. Except for my 24/7 tinnitus, I do have some other symptoms, with dysacusis being the most annoying one.

It seems dysacusis is a symptom that is not quite common.

Nevertheless, I wanted to ask if some of you also used to have dysacusis or still have it, but with a significant improvement? Or do you know people especially from Tinnitus Talk who are "healed"?

It is really frustrating having distortions when hearing specific noises like from porcelain dishes, water running, my hairdryer and many, many more.

I would love to hear only positive answers because I really want to stay positive!

Thank you!

Mine improved. Took about 6 months. Every once in a while it's still kind of there. It also becomes backburner like tinnitus does.

I had terrible dysacusis on and off for about a year. Found that one of my sinuses was severely diseased and since having the FESS surgery in Oct 2020 I haven't experienced it as intensely again. I still get little bouts where it feels like my ear's a bit blocked up but nothing like before. Could be worth exploring it as an option?
