Does Anyone Else Hate Facebook?

I would love to delete my fb account. Sadly even school life has become dependant on it. People use it extensively to prepare classes that require team work in my university. We also share notes on there for certain courses. It does have a few upsides in that way, but I dread it in every other way and would be much more happy with a university e-platform to fill that role. If that existed, I would've gotten rid of mine a long time ago as well. I'm just sick of having to scroll through pages of advertisements and photos of bare legs at the swimming pool and food, before I find the content that I need.

I actually find myself envious of all the friends who have it better, while treating their bodies so much worse. And not running into the wrong doctor.

I always think about deactivating my account, but with the health issues piling up that probably means I'd be a social recluse, so I keep scrolling and I keep envying.

I deleted it after 2 months, too much fuss and nosey people.
I'm sorry you're feeling this way man, I get were you're coming from. Don't be fooled by the majority of posts/pictures on social media, I think the people who try the hardest to show they have the "perfect" life always have the opposite. The grass isn't always greener on the other side.
You seem like a genuinely nice lad, things will get better man, it's going to be a struggle but I'm sure you'll get there.
Plus always somebody on here to have a chat to and rant etc :)

I never joined FB. With all the stuff I've heard about it lately, I'm glad I never got into it.

It's an insult to the world that it even got this far.

Despite the recent data scandal that happened recently with Facebook, it's been known for ages that Zucc is one of the lowest forms of life. For example, take a look at what he said about his earliest Facebook users back in the early days.

You'd think that he would have been grateful that people were bothering to use his stolen website (stolen from the Winklevoss twins) when it was completely new and unknown, but nope, he's just gotta laugh at all the unsuspecting plebs who were stupid enough to trust him with their data.

Gotta give him credit though. At least by saying "they trust me, dumb fucks", he's at least self aware enough to know that he's complete filth

I despise social media period. I had Facebook for about a year in my late teens before deleting it. All people did was talk about things they bought/did and complain about relationship problems. I would be playing Mario Kart while getting drunk by myself. Could.not.relate.

I joined back when you needed a .edu e-mail address to join. I hate it now, but never bothered deleting it. I'll log in maybe once every six months. It's mostly just a bunch of people who I used to know whose lives are apparently going awesome (but probably not).

There was a good short film about how fake people's lives are on Facebook, but I can't seem to be able to find it now.

I don't hate Facebook, but then I don't use Facebook. Have friends/family that do of course. It's entertaining to hear them talk about it. Some don't post much at all, they just use it to snoop. My husband is an excellent bass fisherman, and I can't tell you how many times people have witnessed him catch a big one, and asked to get a picture with them holding it before he threw it back in. They told him the picture was going on their page like they caught it. So yeah, I know most of that stuff people post is either fake or exaggerated.

Never had an account or been on Facebook, except on a couple of occasions where a link sent me there to view a menu or something similar. But then I don't have a smart phone, don't do twitter, or do texting. I have a 10 year old flip phone that I use maybe once or twice a month to order a pizza on the way home. Guess I'm just a Luddite at heart. :dunno:

I hate what facebook has become. A propaganda machine that spreads misleading headlines. A trap that sucks you in and shows you endless advertisements. A colossal waste of time.
However, last time I used it was to tell a dude I found his wallet. Turned out he was still in the store of the parking lot I found it at. So for that reason it's still useful.

i hate facebook because i can see daily my friends with their beautiful girlfriends i never can have and it makes me jealous. i am thinking about deleting my account

I still have Facebook, but I try not to comment on many things because people are such keyboard warriors. The way people treat each other on the Facebook is so sad it really makes me angry and upset how much bullying ect goes on.

Facebook is where happy, anxious, sad, motivated, lazy and angry people are, just like here.

But FB is really missing out. Nobody talks about tinnitus there...! ;-D

ah fakebook
the only place I can get moms attention

I keep it so I can stay in touch with past high school class mates. I also recently found a group for this camera that I own and it's really the best group out there with the most activity. I don't love facebook, I just use it for specific needs. It's not on my phone.

@Daniel95 Facebook can be a little depressing at times, everyone bragging about themselves. Often I wonder if life is all it is cracked up to be for the ones that have to post so much about them selves. I admit I creep Facebook but do not really post much.

I don't hate it, I am tired of it. Actually I am tired of all social media and I am planning to delete all my accounts. I started having these thoughts when I turned 30. Now I'm 32. :D
