I am 25 years old... I've read a lot of the stories on Tinnitus Talk and I was just wondering does the pulsatile tinnitus ever stop? I've been going through it for 2 months and it's already unbearable.

Has anyone heard of a using a STENT to get rid of pulsatile tinnitus?? My ear doctor recommended it.

Does anyone else have pulsatile tinnitus and random muscle aches in their shoulder blade? Or is it just me?

Hi @Taneisha

Have you had an angiogram done at all?

I have pulsatile tinnitus and am awaiting an angiogram. I've been told it's possible that I will need to have a stent too.

I'm also awaiting a lumber puncture test.

Hope you get some answers soon.

Regards

Hi, I've had pulsatile tinnitus for 6 year now. And I've tried everything. I got diagnosed about 2 years ago. I don't know if it's treatable, and even if it is, the doctors here probably can't do it. It sucks, but you will learn to live with it. Being only 19 years old, and knowing that I probably won't get a treatment sucks. The only thing that works short term is holding my hand over the artery. Wish you the best of luck.

@Gstar2020 they never mentioned anything about me getting an angiogram. Before my MRI they talked about me getting a lumbar puncture. But after my MRI they began to recommend the ztent.

Are you in the UK?

I think stents sound promising but I don't know too much about the procedure itself at the moment. I'm very worried about the angiogram as the procedure sounds a little scary. But I guess it's worth having done if it means a diagnosis and hopefully a treatment.

Please keep us posted.

Regards
