Except for benzos, pretty much nothing will reduce your T. Dunno about H.
There are some reports that Tegretol might make a difference. Some say that NAC has helped. Some others use corticosteroids. IV lidocaine. Dopamine agonists. Neurontin. Betaserc. Melatonin and dogmatyl. Insert drug here.
But there are no reports or studies of anything that consistently does what you ask. Maybe something will work for one person but not for someone else.
Your only choice is to try everything that has ever been suggested and that is a bad, bad idea that will take a long, long time.

Before I would want to know exactly what was in this, or any supplement mix, before I took it. Supplements aren't harmless. Some, like melatonin (which is a hormone, not a mineral or plant), are pretty close to pharmaceuticals. They can interact with other medications you are taking.
I do agree with others here that say: what works for some won't work for everyone. And there is no solid research that supports anything. NAC, used only following extreme noise exposure, has helped me. And so have benzos. But taking benzos daily to quiet your tinnitus is NOT a long term solution. I am weaning off regular alprazolam/Xanax use now, even though I took very low doses.

There is atleast one person from this forum who has been tinnitus free for 3 days now, after having it for 4 years. The hearing rescue tablets didnt just lower her tinnitus, it has completly vanished.

Supplements in the U.S. are scary, because they just aren't regulated very well. The bottom-line is that you just don't know for sure what you are getting.
It is unfortunate, but you hear so many folks saying (writing here) things about certain drugs and/or supplements with nothing more than anecdotal information and quite often, even less evidence than that. I know that often they are just trying to be helpful, but it really can do more harm than good sometimes.

BINGO.......my point exactly. I think we need a little more evidence. If that stuff really works, somebody just made billions......

I have no evidence. For all I know she could have been lying. However, from my point of view, I see that as unlikely. If she was the one selling it on amazoon she would have sent me that link when I asked her. Had to look that up myself and clicked on a random page. And no I have no gain in this, Im just trying to give a heads up to a man in a bad situation. I dont think there will be a miracle cure that deals with every case of tinnitus. Never said this was a miracle cure that is making billions. I said it seems to be working for one person in here, so maybe it will work for danny boy since he has had good responses on other drugs like trobalt. Its atleast worth a research on the internet.
I personally am always interested in things that work for others. I found out about NAC through someone posting on Tinnitus Talk. I also tried plenty of other things that some said worked for them -- they didn't for me. But hey, I only wasted $20 or so per bottle, it was worth a try.

But one of those ingredients, under FDA regulations, can be "proprietary blend" -- which means their own magic mix that they don't have to report to consumers.
I personally had a terrible reaction to a pure GABA supplement that someone (not here at TT) recommended. My heart rate accelerated to the point that I almost went to the emergency room. I now am a lot more cautious about what I take.

Hey Danny klonopin reduces my T consistently but it's not something you want to get hooked on. I take it every 2 or 3 days at nite and I'll have a real quite following day ...

I am sorry. Didn't mean to insinuate you were in it for the money. I know you are here for the same reason as I. I was just being a little sarcastic with regard to the miracle product, because I have seen so many miracle products that 99.999 percent of the time are scams. Just do a search for a cure for "T" and the first thing that pops-up is LipoFlavanoids. What a rip! I've seen it advertised on T.V. It doesn't work, but before I had "T" and did a little research, I would have bought it.
No offence taken. I understand scepticism. Its a healthy thing. Especially on the internet with so much scams around.

He's not gonna know whether it's ginko or Q10...I reckon it's Q10. Ginko has been proven in studies to have no effect.
He didnt said how long he had T. Maybe its acute?
