As some of you will already know, Norena is one of the few people looking at middle-ear involvement when it comes to hyperacusis. He's just released a new paper and I was hoping someone here can provide access to the full paper. Abstract can be found here:

Exploring the middle ear function in patients with a cluster of symptoms including tinnitus, hyperacusis, ear fullness and/or pain

@annV perhaps?
I think you probably ended up getting access to the full paper, but here it is in case anyone else wants it.

I'm actually in contact with Fournier, the lead other of the paper, as he is from the same province as me. Will keep you guys updated if anything interesting comes out of our correspondence.

Does anyone know if these people are just researchers or are they doctors as well who see patients? I really think their research sounds promising and I would be keen to know if they think there are any therapeutics or medicines available at the moment which might help us. I think Clonazepam was mentioned in one of the papers but I believe they said the patient habituated to the effect.

How did you establish contact? I know several others who have reached out to Fournier and Norena, including myself, via email and they have not responded. It's been a month or more in each case.

Same, I reached out to him in June and haven't heard back.

I also reached out to Norena, sadly with no response. I'm not sure they appreciate how closely some of us follow their work. That or they're just so inundated with emails they don't have the time.
