I used a lot of MSM for at least half a year. Didn't help my joints heal at all, and I noticed no decrease in floaters (not bothered by them at all though)

$35k raised in 52 months... what has this money achieved so far?
Not much because of that attitude. People complain in forums for tinnitus, floaters, visual snow etc. But very very few want to donate and make a difference. With so many sufferers, there would maybe already be a cure. People are here on Tinnitus Talk but also here very few donate money which is absurd.

Read the last post on the page. They are figuring out a new type of laser and need money for that.

Hi again, well, I am on my 3rd week, and I can truly see a difference. I can almost see zero floaters, the ones still there are very very light. Before I started this, looking into anything white, like a cloudy day, I could see many many floaters. As I write this, it is a cloudy day here, when I look into the clouds I would say I have a 85 to 90 % decrease in my floaters. You are supposed to do this for 90 days with also the eye messages I do daily too. I sure hope this will help others who have the same problem too.
How are your eye floaters? So 90 days and then they're permanently gone? Is this legit??

My floaters have been so damn bothersome lately :(

I don't care about the risks. I am 100% going for an FOV eventually.

What if you lose your vision from FOV? Suicide?

If I don't get the floaters fixed, that is very like what will happen (suicide) THAT'S how much they bother me.

And I have never heard of someone going blind from FOV. They will only do one eye at a time and if that does not go to well, then I will not have the other one done.

What about those MSM drops? Do they not work?

I haven't tried them. It is worth a shot I guess, but I can't imagine it will help......at all.
It's worth a shot, I want to go to an ophthalmologist to see if something is wrong with my eye. Do you think the light that they shine in your eyes will make mine worse? I also want to try MSM.

I developed floaters in August. Most are clear to light gray except for a few dots within the big, wormy ones.

Are you nearsighted? My eyes are pretty bad, with -3.75 power on the right and -5.5 on the left. The doctors told me that nearsighted people are more likely to get floaters, even at a young age.

Also developed starbursts recently. It's really annoying when driving at night. I've said this before, but I'm so lucky I don't have visual snow.
Don't you think its interesting that you got them right after your acoustic trauma? I think its connected.
I got eye floaters on the left eye before my trauma on that ear, when tinnitus was mild my floaters were mild and were mainly on the left eye, when tinnitus worsened so did the floaters. They spread to the other eye and I got black ones in the left eye. I think there is a link...like the processing center in the brain is overwhelmed.

Did you have floaters before tinnitus?
Did they worsen when you got tinnitus?
Yes, I had them before tinnitus. For about 10 years as I recall.

I don't think they have worsened after tinnitus. But they have worsened in the 10 years I have had them, which means they will 99,9% keep on worsening as I age, so like I said, eventually I will have FOV.

I had 2 FOVs on both my eyes against floaters more than 13 years ago. They do only one eye at a time, never 2... they wait 6 months before they do the other eye.

Both eyes are great and I do not have floaters anymore for 13 years now... perhaps longer. The changes of getting blind due to a FOV are very slim and the success rate very high. Check my posts. I gave full detailed information. I even kept a diary which is still used by people to read about my recovery.

It changed my life for the better. I cried from joy when I did not had floaters anymore. Not knowing tinnitus and anxiety would kick in because of stress and acoustic trauma in 2014... But I know the suffering from floaters and it is just as bad as loud tinnitus if you have it severe... But please do not tell people you get blind from a FOV... the doctor told me the chances of getting blind is the same as getting struck by lightning and then still they can fix it and besides that they only do one eye at a time!

For the record I had no PVD (POST VITREOUS DETACHMENT) - it was induced.

No, I can't see (no pun intended) how the light will make floaters worse. I got my eyes checked a couple years ago and they came out "fine". I intend to have get an appointment to have them checked again, but waiting times are 6 months in my country, so I will have to wait a while.

Yeah, I've always had floaters that I could see in super bright light, but they really didn't become noteciable until after tinnitus onset. Even weirder, the onset was delayed. I didn't really notice them until about 2 months after tinnitus onset. Same thing with the color, the floaters I had before were clear and were generally out of my field of view, now they are darker, and can even have this weird light brown hue to them when looking at snow.

SAME

Is the onset of floaters sudden? Just started noticing black worm/string like shapes in both eyes if I concentrate while looking at bright objects. This all started when I stared at the sunrise for about a second or two, I was worried that it might have done damage so I was concentrating on my vision a lot so maybe that is what brought it to my attention.

But floaters are real things floating inside the eye, what does it have to do with tinnitus?

When the sun is low in the sky, practically all of the ultraviolet radiation is removed from the solar beam via ozone absorption and atmospheric scattering. So you don't have to worry about UV burning your eyes at sunrise and sunset.
