Quite a strange title. However, that is what I'm doing, forcing myself to get better. I mentioned a while back my Hyperacusis has made significant progress, but the problem is, its not gone. I won't settle for anything less than it to be gone. I'm returning to high school in a few months and I face new challenges to my Hyperacusis but I am trying to do everything in my power to combat them.
Currently, I am having myself turn the music I listen to up a little louder, slowly as my tolerance builds up. However, as we all know noise can put us right back where we started and that is what I'm also trying to avoid.
I don't get as bad of spikes when wearing earplugs anymore. And I've switched from foam earplugs to musicians earplugs when in restaurants. And hopefully at one point I'll be able to not have to wear them near as much.
