Tinnitus Since
Last week.
It went to a weird high pitch that sounds like it's literally coming from my ear it did die down a bit. I'm out at the store literally about to start crying and breaking down I'm so scared why does t change sounds? Why is this fucking hell happening to me what the hell did I do to deserve this shit..
I'm sorry for me cursing I'm so sD and angry..

That happens, and no one is sure why, when mine started I had 3 different noises, pitches levels ect... now its kinds on weeeeeeessssshhhhaaaabeebbeeb..over and over and over, but I think our brain starts to diminish the sound or ignores it over time.. but don't freak.. it feeds it.. once and a while my other ear starts screaming... or I think it does, at first I freak, now I ignore it and it goes away... I think there is a relationship between high anxiety and the T forming, ..... but the more you relax the better the T will become... mine is screaming for attention, and I honestly don't care... :).. stay strong....

It is probably fleeting t. It use to happen quite often to me. Maybe the fluid is draining and moving around the ear which caused it. Could mean you will be t free soon.

I'm honestly trying to stay strong..it's so scary for me because I'm 20 years old..
I can't believe this stupid crap is happenings To me a healthy 20 year old never had ear issue in my entire life until now this was my first ear infection, first time having fluid in my ear....

I want it all to go away

If it only happened for about 5-20 seconds or round about then it is fleeting T. Funnily enough I used to have this quite a bit before T; have had it a few times when I first got T but not as much. Not sure if that's a good thing. Anyway, don't panic. Everyone with or without T has this.

If it is still there then it is probably a different sound/tone. But the change in sounds is good! It probably means that something in your ear is moving around/clearing. People that have T that changes are more likely to have it go.

I know how you feel. I want mine to go too. But I made a little progress today. For the first time in over a month I used headphones. I didn't have it too high and didn't have it on for a long time, but my T did not get worse. I wasn't in a silent room but I couldn't hear it when I was outside which is normal, and I couldn't hear it when my brother and I were in the living room watching TV unless I blocked my ear - again, normal. For me this reassures me that my T is not made worse by loud sounds (as long as they are not too loud! Was going to a concert this week but decided against it. Don't want to make my ears worse) and is not noise induced. I know it is caused by fluid, but in my darkest moments I am worried that it is because of hearing loss. But this has given me more confidence and again reassured me that once the fluid is gone my T could go.

Hopefully yours will go soon. Tomorrow I will have had T for two months :-( Maybe the T will go soon. Fingers crossed!

we have persons on the board who are only 12 years old, or only 15... I was even younger than you when i got Tinnitus. There really is no age limit for Tinnitus unfortunately.

I had no idea that 12-15 year olds on this board had it..I haven't seen them post:/ so sorry if that comment bothered you. I'm just really frustrated and sad..

Changes in sound is good? Even if it's louder or something? I mean this really really scares me..
Half the time I don't want to even be home I keep driving around like a crazy woman wanting to basically just live at the er until this is gone...

Sometimes I feel like I have hearing loss or I'm scared I'm going to lose my hearing..but I already had a hearing test done and I had great hearing so I keep telling myself that..I know this wasn't noise induced since I never listened to music loud.

oh no you got it wrong, I didn't mean it that way, I'm so sorry you thought it bothered me. I wanted to let you know that you were not alone with being young and having Tinnitus. I'm sorry Maithe, I know that you are frustrated, I wished I could help you more!

Thankfully T does not make us deaf, so as long as we don't aggregate our ears we should be fine. I took a few hearing tests on line and all came out good i.e. no hearing loss. :)

Yes, if you sound changes in volume, pitch, sound etc it is good. It means something is changing in your ears, or that you brain is trying to fix the problem. Then again, some people have constant same tone/pitch T and it goes for them. There are no rules for T, but on the whole it is a good sign if the noise changes

I hope it goes away:/ I'm always having anxiety about it everyday..but I'm
Not ready for medication..I don't want to pump my body with meds..

Maithe was it a few seconds of loud ringing then it died down? If so when that started happening to me my t actually decreased a great deal. So it might be part of the healing process.
