Likely nothing is going to be released. They recently had presentations in San Francisco and Baltimore and nothing was released from those either.
I was in contact with someone for one of these trials, he/she would prefer I not say which one, but they were amazed at the first interview, it was a lawyer and an audiologist, the lawyer was involved to represent shareholder interests, the audiologist to establish there was a "real" hearing loss, the trial organizer then apologized at the second meeting for the excessive questioning and testing outlining that there was concerns that people were "fishing" for information on the trial, too much money involved.
Is anyone in here participating in the FX-322 trials? And what happened to that paper they were supposed to write? I'm hoping the reason they decided not to publish is to keep a competitive advantage, which is better than the alternative explanation, inconclusive data!
Depending on staffing, data complexity and other variables, writing up the report for a clinical trial can take several months (4-5 isn't unheard of).

That gives a ballpark mean of ~88 days, with some pretty huge outliers at the extremes, so I think that dudes statement is accurate.

Yeah, I did some time working in and around the biotech industry. It's a really long, expensive process from discovery through pre-clinical and clinical with all the regulations and stuff. Not to mention the race to the market before your patent expires. Trust me, they want to move as quickly as possible, but there are a lot of T's and I's to take care of.

No because they are already pioneering something amazing and the more attention they get the better and speedier this trial goes.
Is that sarcastic or are you expecting success from the trials?
I hope it goes well. Between MuteButton, Susan Shore/University of Michigan/gene therapy/pill implants/lasers and this 'FX-322'?, I hope one or a combination can help us sufficiently reduce or eliminate our tinnitus. Having our hearing loss restored would be very welcoming, too.
If President Obama could win THE NOBEL PEACE PRIZE without having actually done anything, Frequency Therapeutics winning an award without putting anything on the market is not a stretch. I wouldn't be surprised if the award is actually a marketing ploy to attract more investors.

A different perspective: we need a lot of innovation to fix this problem, whatever the solution. Therefore you must encourage / reward innovation, even if it results in failure.

Available for clinical use means that it will be out in the market to be used in clinical settings such as at the doctors office. I'm skeptical about the 12-18 months though.

Nothing is released to the market until it goes through the full three phase testing regime and is proved viable following peer review. Everything else is just talk!
I thought it takes AT LEAST that long to get approved by the FDA! Doesn't sound right to me.

I agree to a great extent. But talk can be important, albeit distressing when the wait is so long.
To balance these observations: should we see more clinics mentioning this I believe the preemptive marketing is a good sign.
After all you don't market your upgraded product until you think you can deliver, because you will delay sales. This is a known issue that any business analytics worth their salt will highlight. As such any exposure from a retail body that sells what is effectively competing services (hearing aids etc) is promising. We can only hope that we see more of this and that it is undertaken on the basis of good business strategy where risk is considered and balanced with data that may be available to that business.
This is not a crazy action to take on the company's behalf - they need to make the most of that patient whilst it lasts...
On the other hand it all may go nowhere. But I do believe the above is true in some regards, particularly if we see more similar releases!

And it is too long? But better than when I first got tinnitus, when there was no hope in comparison!
MB = MuteButton. I was too lazy.
I was just mentioning other treatments. They all seem so far away to me.
