Just found out you are in hospital and catching up on what you have had done. MRI/MRA.....like you ,I have some neck arthritis and that table is SO painful on the neck(let alone the 'clunk,clunk, whirr, whirr, thud, thud, thud and that fact that there's only about an inch of space around). Lumbar puncture frankly hurts!
You are always even tempered and nice to folk....you don't deserve this. My VERY best wishes to you. I DO hope you are soon back on your feet and that roller coaster that you didn't want to be on and can't get off (bloody vertigo!) settles.....if tinnitus drives us to distraction, vertigo literally can floor us.
For emergencies the NHS generally is pretty good (not for 'cold stuff'), so I hope they are treating you well. In my neck of the woods the NHS is GIG (Gwasanaeth Iechyd Gymru....try saying that 3 times after a few 'bevies').
