- Cause of Tinnitus
- Hearing loss due to noise (playing drums, headphones)
I am a huge music fan and always have been. I paid a lot of money over the years to get a really good HiFi system. The problem is that I'm one of those people who listen to music very intensely and I can't do anything at the same time e.g. read a book.
Unfortunately, my tinnitus spiked really badly about 10 years ago and it's never gone back down to its previous entirely ok level. I realised things were bad when I put on a CD, sat down to listen and just found the tinnitus intruded too much on whatever I was listening to , and I gave up.
I have to snatch moments now when my tinnitus is at a reduced level but this doesn't happen very often. I therefore sadly hardly listen to music any more.
Has anyone else had this problem and were they able to do anything about it?
