Ugh...cant tell you guys how much I wanna go back in time and just keep my headphones low all along. Such a simple fix if I could just break the time barrier.

Yea I feel ya buddy. At first I wasn't sure why this was happening to me, but looking back it might have been the headphones for me, too. Not sure though, EMT visit in 2 days might shed some light, wish me luck

I am in this boat waiting for the coastguard. Probably 10 years it will take them to arrive. As long as they are getting closer.

fuck its pissing me off because I was never warned about tinnitus. Why isn't there any awarness around this condition? what the fuck is the point of going to school when you dont learn about life destroying parasite like this?

For all things I have learnt in life and for all things I have read or heard not one time was there "ears ringing following loud noises can be permanent". Just that statement alone would have had me diving deeper

In life there are warnings for all kind of stuff but where are the warnings around loud venues? This outrates most other warnings I've seen. Most warn of what might be an inconvenience not a life wrecking event.

I thought going to a gig was totally safe. If I went to go a nightclub I would trust the laser lights at the venue to not blind me like I trust the concert venue not to cause hearing damage. I absolutely hate myself for going to a gig with great health, a job, happy life, friends and now feeling so low, no job & most friends gone. I've been attacked by a venue I paid to be in and permanently damaged without anyone actually coming in to contact me. I never imagined that could happen! And no one's at fault apart from me! No compensation or laws?! Unbelievable

I lived my life carefully and in reasonable quietness. Took very little risks and whammo. So unfair. If only I knew............. concerts I would happily forego for life if I knew there was an element of risk.

Shuffle I'm just wondering you said the gig you had that you didn't protect your ears as much as you should. What decibel reduction ear plugs were you wearing?

I also DJ and my T got worse DJ'ing a party with 15 db filters in. But I was DJ 'ing for 7 hours. My decibel reader battery died in the 1st minute. Now I have to deal with it.

None at the time! That was the problem! I now wear ER20s for low level stuff and 40db foam plugs for gigs. The ER20s are good for normal ears in gigs, but I feel T ears need more protection

I know how you feel. Mine happened at work, not a concert, but I have about the same amount of recourse or compensation as you do. I never gave tinnitus much thought till I got it myself. I was oblivious to how much people can suffer from this and how prevalent it is.
