I was drunk, went out for a cigarette and fell on the sidewalk, bashing my head into the concrete. I can recall all the events of that night, even though I was very drunk and had hit my head, leading me to believe that I didn't lose consciousness.

Since that night my hearing has felt off and I've had ringing in my right ear that I can hear in quiet settings, sometimes I feel like it latches onto certain tones in everyday life, if I press on my tragus I can create a second tone by applying pressure to my inner ear.

I have had three hearing tests done, including one at Massachusetts Eye and Ear and they have all come back normal. Including the speech in noise testing, I scored an 84% which was considered good but should have been a little higher but that was two months ago. When I went back for another test everything was fine.

Please ask any questions or have any ideas as to what's happening. Thank you.

Warm welcome to the forum.

That head injury may have caused your tinnitus. If there are not enough response to your post from guys with head injury related tinnitus, then do a search with 'head injury' and you will see lots of prior posts on it. Good luck. Take care. God bless.
