Help — Sudden Pulsatile Tinnitus

I've had screechy, screaming Tinnitus for over 5 years. I had a severe worsening at Christmas which I've been extremely anxious about since then and feeling desperate.

But now things have got worse... this morning I was laid on bed an very suddenly out of nowhere I could hear my heart beating in one ear LOUDLY. It just started like that, suddenly. One second it wasn't there and the next second it was. It's still there now 5 hours later. My BP is a bit high but I think it has been in the past and I haven't had this is my ear.

Does anyone else have experience of this?

Hi, I am experiencing the same symptoms right now. I believe mine may be related to a sinus or ear infection. Have you recently had a cold or flu?

I also began Ibuprofen therapy for tendinitis this last week so I wonder if thats related as well.

If you have been really stressed it can make tinnitus worse but that doesnt mean you shouldnt get it checked out by a doctor. Relax as best you can and make an appointment. Try to find a doctor with experience in diagnosing varrying tinnitus causes.

I worry myself to much over these type things until I go to the doctor and they find nothing. Im a bit of a hypochondriac. Stressing over it can make it worse just by focusing on it.
