Homemade Cooking

@Ed209, get a good quality one. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

So far I've cooked a whole chicken, chicken thighs, baked potatoes, french fries, stuffed chicken breasts.

I am going to get me a good recipe book to go with it. ;)

Happy shopping, Ed.

@Jack Straw, buy it and hide it from your girl... haha

I will do. I never buy cheap stuff.

I know you do your research.
When I buy something, I do too much research. I often end up buying the best model when I don't even need it  That's just the way I am.

I'm ok, still recovering from COVID-19 and hoping my hands get better. At the moment, I'm getting pain in my wrists and a pins and needles sensation in my fingers which is really affecting my guitar playing. I'm hoping it'll go away.

How have you been?

All super cool, Jack.

Do you find yourself using the Sous vide often?
Oh, and which ice cream maker do you have? I've always wanted to get one, but was always inclined to think that they "don't work"? :p

Here's another favorite gadget.
I use this one often and love it!

Makes boiled eggs to perfection without me burning the house down.
(Not that this ever happened to me!) :cautious:   :p :D
It is a stock image! haha

Those eggs look crispy... haha!!!

We do use the Sous vide often. It makes the best steak and juiciest chicken you will ever eat! They are pretty reasonably priced now so you should definitely get one!

We have the Cuisinart art ice cream maker on Amazon. The only problem is that you have to get the freezing component REALLY cold, like 0 degrees or it won't work.

As you know I had trouble with my hands as well. They would swell up and I would get a tingly feeling in them as well. After twoish weeks it started getting better. My doctor proscribed me steroid cream for when it happens.

My left wrist is the worst now along with pins and needles in my left hand which makes me wonder if playing the guitar is exacerbating it.

I love meat.

I'm thinking of supervising the making of eggs Benedict for my wife this coming mother's Day. But I've never even poached an egg before.

Any tips would be much appreciated!

Overnight Oatmeal
- 1 cup of old fashioned rolled oats
- 3 tablespoons of dark cocoa nibs
- 1 tablespoon non-fat Greek yogurt
- 1 tablespoon Peanut butter
- 1 cup oat milk

Toppings
- Honey
- Cinnamon
- Blueberries
- Banana slices

I make it the night before and leave it in the fridge and by next morning the oats will have absorbed all the liquids making it much softer to eat.

GOAT breakfast.

In a pan of hot water, not boiling, using a fork get the water swirling, carefully drop the cracked egg into the water. Let it cook 3 to 4 minutes, the swirling water keeps the egg from sticking to the bottom of the pan.
