Hi everyone,
I've had tinnitus for a couple of years mainly in my right ear. Yep, it sucks. Just wanted to say hi and vocalize some support for those who've got it really bad.

In case anyone reads this, has there been any attempt at data collection on this TinnitusTalk.com website? I mean, in the good sense Some systematic questionnaire etc? I've heard it's tough to treat tinnitus because it's a symptom of so many (potentially) complicated contributors, so data is really important for it.

Sure, we are big on collaborating with researchers and organizing surveys:

• Tinnitus Hub / Talk Survey Results
• Support Matters: How Are Tinnitus and Social Support Interlinked
• Investigating Physical Links to Tinnitus (academics can be busy; results are still being analyzed)
• Outpatient Tinnitus Clinic, Self-Help Web Platform, or Mobile Application to Recruit Tinnitus Study Samples? (we were co-authors of this)
• Tinnitus Heterogeneity and Responsiveness to Treatment: An Exploratory Analysis

We are launching a tinnitus awareness & fundraising survey in early 2019 as well. And there's more to come, likely two papers we'll be co-authors of next year. If you have some ideas or have skills to help out, feel free to start a PM with me.

I agree, Tinnitus sucks, I've only had it for 3 weeks but I'm over it. I hope the day will come when I'll see Tinnitus as not such a bad thing in my life but right now it just sucks, best of luck with your struggle

Hi @Sam Bridge , well it's some speculation, but that's the most logical explanation I got from ENTs and a neurologist because it started very suddenly in one ear, and I wasn't exposed to loud sounds at the time.
