Hyperacusis Everyday Do's and Dont's

step 1. I went outside today for a few hours. Not too cold today and a clear blue sky. I did some metal detecting on a corn field. I found a lot of trash (I took it with me) and rotten unreadable coin.
step 2. Still has to be done: Seeing people.

2. Went to see my neighbour to say I'm still alive, and walked together with his dog. The dog barking was not as loud no more like 2 months ago, I couldn't believe it, still can't. (knock on wood)
A friend is coming top pay me visit this night.

Socializing = best drug ever

Yeah it has been there since the start of T. My ear muscle on the right side spasms for sometimes minutes at a time as well...usually after I stretch or yawn. My ears are just fucked basically. I thought the pain and fullness would go away. Every time I have had pain in my life prior, means things are getting better. I'm starting to think I'm stuck with this for life like my T.

My ears are pretty fucked as well. Tinnitus, pressure, pain, an undulating hum/vibration, some fluttering muscles (tts/sm?) and decreased sound tolerance (hyperacusis?). Pretty much sucks. What caused yours and have you been diagnosed with anything? Any treatments ongoing?

  • Don't assume that hyperacusis is the cause of your decreased sound tolerance.
  • Do get an accurate diagnosis.
And therein for many of us lies the problem. Mostly the second line.
