Tinnitus Since
may of 2015
Cause of Tinnitus
had my neck adjusted
I don't know how to cope anymore.

I'm so tired of the off balance, the screaming brain.

All I do is cry and cry.

Each day is nothing but trying to find hope :( :(

Sorry for venting. I wish other people knew what this was like. They never understand.

I hear you... Most people are unable to understand, that something this horrid is even possible.

Here you can safely vent, knowing that we all know how this feels like.

If you think you got T after you "had your neck adjusted", then how could that damage your hearing i'm wondering? And if that's actually the case, then there may be hope for your situation because maybe all you have is a pinched Vagus nerve or something and just have to figure out a way to unpinch it, ie maybe one of the stretching machines they use for pinched back nerves might help.

A chiropractor put me where I am too. I'm pretty sure he actually purposefully hurt me as well.

Do you practice CBT & mindfulness?

TRT or craniosacral therapy.

There is nothing that can be done. Medical science is retarded. Do not expect or even hope for a cure... The only thing left is noise and you: make it your friend, your soundtrack, your mantra, your lullaby..... tame the monster.

shut up. there may be hope with fx322, bimodal stimulation, a miracle from God. you're not all knowing enough to make such a claim.

@JohnAdams

20 years ago, T sufferers thought the cure was almost there. 10 years ago, T sufferers thought the cure was almost there. Today, T sufferers think the cure is almost there. 10 years from now, T sufferers will think the cure is almost there. 20 years from now, T sufferers will think the cure is almost there..... Do not hope for something that is very unlikely to happen. Just face the sad truth, and move on with what is left of your life.
Also, I am sure that Medical science is going to make us inmortals and erradicate every illness on Earth. Sure!

Unless you're a prophet of God, please spare me your future predictions. You dont know, I don't either. So uh durrr. Wait and see.

I deal with T and Panic disorder and nobody I know understands either except my Therapist. Maybe a therapist can help you, too. It doesn't have to mean something is wrong with you. Its just good to vent to someone who is compassionate and can give constructive advice and words of compassion in return. It can make a huge difference when coping. You don't have to do it alone.

Mine is severe - constant.
I come on here daily to talk to, and listen to
"REAL PEOPLE."
People who absolutely "KNOW."

Recognition of - who we are - what we suffer
- is crucial.
As we go through life with Tinnitus,
we don't have to feel alone.
We share a common affliction,
but we also share our care for each other,
love

Try practicing gratitude. It's worth a try.:thankyousign:

Gratitude - "GRATITUDE ?!"

Did I hear you right?

Dear Benefactor
(who shall remain nameless.)
Thank you for the lovely Tinnitus.
Mine arrived by post early one morning in mid June 2014 and has remained constant ever since.
Honestly - it's something else - I would never have thought of it!
Perhaps I should also thank you on behalf of all of the lovely, kind, wonderful, suffering people I have met on this site.
I am quite sure they appreciate it also.
Finally, if you have any other great ideas,
please....just keep 'em to yourself.

(my mum always insisted that I remember to write my thank you letters.)

NICE - please forgive me for having my fun, and for being such a realist.
It's a hobby I have tried unsuccessfully to break for 76 years.

HI @rid0871

I am sorry to know that you're going through such a difficult time at the moment but things can start to improve with the right help. When tinnitus starts to interfere with out mental and emotional wellbeing as in your case, there are a few options to pursue and I hope that you consider them.

Have a talk with your GP/family doctor and explain how you feel regarding the tinnitus. An antidepressant maybe suggested for you to try, and I advise that you take it. An antidepressant can help you not to feel so down and this is caused by the tinnitus. In addition to this, see you are able to be referred to a Hearing Therapist or Audiologist, that specialises in the treatment and management of tinnitus. If this is not possible, see whether you can be referred to see a counsellor or therapist anyone to talk to about how you feel.

Please click on the links below and read my posts.
Hope you start to feel better soon.

I know this may sound counter-intuitive, considering what happened...but another GOOD chiropractor (who's not trying to hurt you) might be able to undo what the first one did.

Nope. My tinnitus fidnt start with the chiropractor. He just hurt me and I got addicted to NSAIDs. That's what led me to hurt my ears.

I understand the crying, I did that for 4 months straight. Then eventually there will be no more tears left. It is natural to cry at first. Time is on your side, hopefully we get a miracle. Someone find something to help. Have faith. Tinnitus is not easy, it is very depressing. Wish there were more to be done, but they are working harder recently. Feel better!

I have been crying for four years now :(

You may need some natural supplements.

I think fish oil with food (to avoid upset stomach) can help because of the Omega 3 fatty acids which can help many people with depression. Perhaps something else might be better for you.

Go easy on them and titrate up and don't expect supplements to work instantly because many take time.

Exercise and prayer can help too.

I would also recommend hearing aids with built in maskers and bluetooth. This way you can stream low volume music to your ears from your phone while at the same time amplifying and being able to hear sounds around you. The built in maskers can also bring relief if the ringing is bothering you.

Hang in there...I once couldn't take my mind off of it but now due to various supplements, hearing aids, and time (took time to habituate again), I am doing a lot better and have tuned it out so much and lately when I think about it, it doesn't bother me so my mind quickly goes back to tuning it out because I am focused on other things.
