I Don't Know If It Is Tinnitus or Hyperacusis?

More than a week ago, I started to hear sounds like electrical signals in my left ear. But these sounds occurred when I hear certain frequencies like the tap water running for example. But if I cover my ear, I don't hear that sound ? I don't know if this is called hyperacusis but as far from my readings hyperacusis is painful? and this sound is not painful but it just break my concentrations? Does anyone know what is it ? Any help ? thanks a lot

Could be reactive tinnitus to sounds.
If you have Hyperacusis you will find everyday sounds hurtful to your ears like cutlery clashing etc....lots of love glynis

I also have this. This is called reactive tinnitus I think. But sometimes it can cause some pain also. And this is what they call hyperacusis.

I have my reactive T for 4 months now. I think as the time passes the chance of it be gone is getting less and less.
