I don't have any info on that.@R. David Case have you had any success with somatic elements of tinnitus? For instance, has anyone reported your therapy helping with tinnitus being modulated by jaw/neck movement?

You are welcome, it is more than a masker over time.Several posts up I posted a video (#1893) how to download multiple files to the iPad... (that app is the app I had my volume difficulty with... be careful...)
I personally bought a $30 MP3 player that I (usually) can put in my t-shirt pocket so I'm not tethered to anything.
I've had my headphones on for 8 hours today, no family laughed at me as far as I know :-0 at the very least... it's a good masker... thankful for Mr. Case.
You can load 7 copies if you can't loop it and it will play all night. The file for download only goes to 1:15 on my iPhone. How are you guys stretching this to play all night?
Well in my opinion you should stop everything and just try Tinnitus Mix, if you are doing 3 remedies you will not know which one helped or which one caused a spike. It will only add questions.@R. David Case
Gonna give this a shot. I have lingering hyperacusis which may be from residual PTSD from a car accident. Putting the volume on the lowest possible setting does not cause pain, so I assume this to be safe in my individual case, unless hyperacusis is completely contraindicated for this treatment.
I'm 4-5months in with my tinnitus. The low whirring sound that was present immediately after my accident I had mistaken for an actual crane during the construction months in summer (it sounds strangely distant to the ear and is not so bothersome that it caused any sort of panic). Hyperacusis was immediately present upon airbag deploy. It was only one month and a day later that the HF tinnitus hit and woke me up in the middle of the night. This tone is the main source of my misery, as it sounds like an electric hiss inside of my head. Not as peripheral as the first, but still feels unilateral (left).
The reason I mention this is because you've indicated that this treatment might be even more effective for sub-chronic cases. I have been using LLLT (konftec 808nm) to address my issues as well. Do you think compounding therapies here would be counterproductive in any way? Do you think that the "energy supply" theory is compliant with or crucial to the "awakening neuron" theory?
Thanks so much for your time.
Yes you are right the Koss KSC-75 does not have control on cord, the KTX-PRO1 are THE best for Tinnitus Mix.Except the Koss KSC75 has no volume control.
Even though they are recommended as well, this is a good example of getting used to the headband of the Koss KTX Pro1 over the KSC75's.
Also a good argument against any in-ear buds which can be "9db louder" for a given setting. I also found there is a music limiter on iOS devices (I'm always a day late and a dollar short.)
I'd rather listen to this mix than "rain" or "jungle noises."
I'll just start my 3 weeks over, and prednisone for Thanksgiving... yummy.
Can you loop it on the Sony voice recorder? You can load 7 copies if you can't loop it and it will play all night.
Yes. I feel great. I'm resisting every urge to go and hop on my drums and see how rusty I've gotten not playing in a year, but I'm still going to wait. Are the improvements still there?
When would you feel "safe" enough to do so?Yes. I feel great. I'm resisting every urge to go and hop on my drums and see how rusty I've gotten not playing in a year, but I'm still going to wait.
Best part is that music sounds good and normal.
After a few months of no symptoms, if I get to that level. Eventually I'm just going to get some good muffs and go anyway. I spent way too much of my life studying music and playing instruments to just throw it all away. When would you feel "safe" enough to do so?
Just to add.
Here's a picture of Hermitage Medical Clinic from the 2nd floor. The 1st floor has the staff canteen and on the opposite side of a huge glass wall is a pool.

I've also tried to record some of the Lenire "music" and have attached it to this post. My recording couldn't quite pick up the intro properly, but this should give you an idea of the R2D2 bleed that I think is most common.
Sounds like you are on the track to get to no symptoms, especially now that your noise sensitivity has gone. Hoping this forum will be able to see a success story from you soon. After a few months of no symptoms, if I get to that level. Eventually I'm just going to get some good muffs and go anyway. Sir, I already have a success story.Sounds like you are on the track to get to no symptoms, especially now that your noise sensitivity has gone. Hoping this forum will be able to see a success story from you soon.
Sounds like the opening theme to "Roseanne"
I've heard that one before from you.Sir, I already have a success story.
The only difficulty is you have been such the trendsetter on treatments... is this residual from S. Korea... or something else.Sir, I already have a success story.
I thought that Sir was a woman or do you call everyone Sir?Sir, I already have a success story.
I am a woman! hahaI thought that Sir was a woman or do you call everyone Sir?
I did better today wearing hearing aids all night long. At least they stay on all night. Headphones are difficult to keep on while sleeping for me.
Probably not.is this residual from S. Korea
@JohnAdams aren't you the person that Lenire made worse?? Does this CD work with reactive tinnitus and/or tinnitus from neck jaw issues?? I'm one of these people that listen to music on cheaper headphones and it doesn't affect my tinnitus. My tinnitus is really only reactive to certain tones or whatever.Sir, I already have a success story.
Yes you can loop it on the Sony. Can you loop it on the Sony voice recorder?[/
That's great! You show signs that you are on your way to a new life, free and quiet!!Finished Night 6 - yesterday was a normal, medium-ringing (3/10) AM which built over the course of the day and ended at about a 6 or a 7 /10 by bedtime (standard for me). I slept a solid 8 hours listening to Tinnitus Mix with the Koss headset (which I find easier to sleep in than the Bose). Today has been a generally quiet morning, just a light hiss thus far - tinnitus hasn't been distracting at all in this 27 decibel room. I can't find any tonality in my tinnitus either, which is nice. These days are not particularly rare for me, let's see if it holds.
Hyperacusis has been extremely mild since starting this regimen. I'd say hyperacusis was a 5/10, and now down to a 1/10. I used to be extremely bothered by the iPhone speaker, certain voices, and garden-variety kid screams, but yesterday's Thanksgiving was a test of all of those situations, and it was a completely normal auditory experience.
I have had no spikes from Tinnitus Mix, either - to me this is very safe if kept on a low volume (make your own determinations, of course).
I'm still not sure if Tinnitus Mix is directly helping tinnitus in volume, tone or intensity, but I will continue listening to it at night. Let's see where it goes.
Plus, like lottery, you can't win if you don't play.
No I didn't do Lenire.@JohnAdams aren't you the person that Lenire made worse?? Does this CD work with reactive tinnitus and/or tinnitus from neck jaw issues?? Oops.I thought that Sir was a woman or do you call everyone Sir?
I've been using mine right before the Tinnitus Mix, like literally the second the laser is out of my ear the Tinnitus Mix is in. Have been working my way up to the full sessions with sporadic hour and fifteen minute bursts, which IS NOT WHAT CASE ADVOCATES. However, it is helping acutely, at least. Two out of three times so far I've had dramatically diminished tinnitus from an hour and fifteen minute session. My low whirring tone may have even been knocked out for a few moments but I wouldn't know because I'm trying my damnedest to keep myself and company entertained, if only for the utility of tinnitus distraction and residual healing. But that's what tinnitus does... pollutes the organic and simple into unrecognizably machinated, strategic decisions. For what it's worth, I used my Konftec lasers at the same time I was doing the Tinnitus Mix therapy at the start of this year, for a couple of months. I didn't seem to notice any ill effects. I do remember one time where I used the laser 10 minutes after using the sound file and then it seemed to spike my tinnitus pretty bad. But it settled down in a few hours I believe, though even that could have been a coincidence. I will add that the sound was at a very low volume. For those months, most of the time I used my laser mid day and Tinnitus Mix only during sleep and I was fine. But still, I'd be very interested to hear what @R. David Case has to say about your question.
