If My Tinnitus Is Sometimes Louder or Quieter Upon Waking in the Morning, Could a Sleep Clinic Help?

I've never been to a sleep clinic but if any of you all have, I am interested to know. I was wondering if it's possible that a sleep clinic could detect differences during the night and identify any abnormalities.

And if some kind of abnormality happens during sleep, could it be causing tinnitus to increase?

I got recommended to go to a Sleep Clinic, because of my horrible sleeping. To be honest, I don't think there is any point in going, because I'm sure that tinnitus and dreadful anxiety about tinnitus causes my issues, so I can't really imagine how they would be able to help me.

Does anyone have any experience?

I would try to favor a natural remedy for lack of sleep, like exercising in the afternoon. Just biking around at 5 or 6 pm for an hour, or going for a fast walk, will get you tired, and then if you try to relax at home, with a book, or TV (no computer or cellphones), you will very likely get sleepy...

Tried it already.
The problem is not getting sleepy, rather staying asleep. I keep waking up an insane amount of time. Sometimes I struggle to go back to sleep, sometimes I just wake up so much, that I can't get a proper amount of sleep. And I'm a weakling, it's killing me.

Has this happened to you for a long time or is it temporary?

Sometimes it is hard to sleep for a week or two, and then it goes away...

I've been sleeping scandalously bad since tinnitus onset (10 month yesterday, wohoooo). Around the middle of February, I got some relief (approx. 4 hours a day, but never without waking up), but didn't last long.

Some people have tried melatonin (I haven't) so you could research that. Or try infusions to get you sleepy...

I'm interested in this too as sleep seems to help my tinnitus.

Been there, done that.

I really tried everything except for more serious medicine like benzos (I do occasionally take Frontin which is basically Xanax, doesn't help), sleeping pills, SSRIs.

In an extreme situation Valium (diazepam) could put you to sleep. If you have never tried it, this drug works marvels, but over time the body builds tolerance to it. I have used it on medical recommendation a few times, just for a day, and because I am not used to it, Diazepam makes me sleepy very fast.
