Hello everyone,

My tinnitus started right after a panic attack and I was always sure this is the reason for my tinnitus.

BUT I realized my tinnitus is obviously changing when I turn my head and stretch my neck.

1) Is this for everyone the same?

I saw a Chinese doctor in a TCM-center (traditional chinese medicine) and he was 100% sure my tinnitus comes from my neck respectively cervical spine. Tomorrow I will see him again.

2) Is it possible a massage can be a effective treatment for my tinnitus?

Sounds potentially like somatic tinnitus, a lot of people can manipulate their tinnitus by these movements, myself included.

A bit more about that on here:

You've had tinnitus for three years, I wouldn't count on a massage being able to provide lasting relief but massages are lovely either way and the following relaxation may indeed help make your tinnitus feel less intrusive for a period of time.

I saw a Chinese doctor who told me that my tinnitus was caused by a problem with my neck. He manipulated my neck at each visit, it was very painful. Eventually found out the problem was TMJ. I have regular head massages - still have tinnitus but they help me relax.
