Lenire — Bimodal Stimulation Treatment by Neuromod

I believe the Michigan team concluded that longer use induced greater results in the long term?

Lenire is using the same methodology so a greater improvement should happen with longer use.
Makes sense. This seems usually true of almost anything involving Neuroplasticity.

Is there a way to check how long a member of Tinnitus Talk has had tinnitus by checking their profile? I can't see it anywhere.

I would like to check how long the members using the Lenire treatment have had tinnitus for.

Click on someone's photo or name -> click on "profile page" -> then go to "information".

If you're using TinnitusTalk on your computer it should also say since when someone's had tinnitus below their name:

Does anyone know what will happen if one wishes to undergo the treatment again in the future, e.g. in the instance of a further acoustic trauma?

I'm guessing there is not a way to cycle through the previous timings?

Will there be another fee to have this all set up again?
If you just want to stick with the 'out of the box' settings you can. Alternatively, you can book an ad-hoc appointment at Neuromod to pick up again. They didn't quote a price, but they generally have charged 250Euros a session so far.

How is your tinnitus lately at the 6 week checkpoint? Is your tinnitus now better than it was before starting the treatment?
Massively better! Almost not an issue anymore. It's been a bumpy road, but the trend has been down. I still hear tinnitus from time to time, but I have more silence or very low volume than I do anything else.

@Liz Windsor,
Just checking in to see how your treatment is going?

I have also had tinnitus for a few years and am curious to know if Lenire is having an effect on you. Thank you.
Hi there. I've had tinnitus for almost seven years (next month).

I'm planning on putting an update on the Lenire User Experiences and Reviews thread later today as I'm now three weeks into using the device. It's definitely having an effect.

This is such good news @Redknight! Really very very pleased for you! Out of interest what was your THI at the start of treatment and where would you say you are at now?

How's everybody feeling with the new Lenire, and the information so far provided? Myself, I am not feeling at all confident but I suppose it's early days.

I saw a comment on Facebook. Somebody has been using Lenire for 2 months and reports zero effect :-(
Very early results are better than I thought they might be in terms of improval, compared to hyped up treatments for other conditions I have past experience of. But obviously we're only talking about a handful of people so far.

I count five reporting at least some improvement now (@BigNick, @Redknight, @drcross, @jacob21, @TinMan2019), three unsure or no change yet (@Ruddboy, @Cojackb, @Liz Windsor) and one worse (@Allan1967). That is not counting the initial worsenings that resolved. Users please correct me if I'm wrong. I do note the improvers seem to have had tinnitus for a relatively short length of time with the exception of Jacob and TinMan. I'm not surprised that one person has worsened though Allan hopefully it will just be temporary.

Is there a (strong) possibility that Lenire will only help those with shorter term tinnitus? Is there any reason to believe it could help treat long-term sufferers?

So far most of the reviews I've read have been by people who are around 5-8 months in (or did I miss something?)

I wish we could get some more responses and information on this! I've had tinnitus for years, and I don't want to continue to get my hopes up about Lenire if it's only helping short-term tinnitus.

I saw your post in the "Experiences" section. I've decided that if I get an appointment to visit them in Ireland next year (I'm on the list), I will do so no matter the cost. December 6 of this year is my one year anniversary of getting my tinnitus after my ear cleaning at the ENT. I've mostly habituated/accepted my fate and I am much better now. But why risk missing an improvement window that I might not get back?

I am extremely happy for you and wish that you are completely cured of this torture :)

Nothing says it's for short term tinnitus only, that wasn't at all mentioned in the interview with the CEO.

The trial consisted of people having tinnitus up to 5 years.

Thanks for getting back to me Liz. Really happy to hear it's having an effect, I hope it continues to do so.

I look forward to reading your post in the other thread.

Something we haven't seen or had leaked/rumoured yet is a graph of 'time with tinnitus' plotted against 'THI reduction over treatment period'. That will be a very interesting graph... or not.

Anyone understand Neuroplasticity enough to know if something like tinnitus can "set in" with time and be harder to undo?

Perhaps there's a correlation between how long Lenire takes to show benefits and length of time suffering, we may just have to wait much longer for people who've been suffering longer to see benefits.

Similarly, it might be completely random.
