Geo, I don't take ibuprofen or aspirin as they are ototoxic. I use turmeric for pains and headaches. I wouldn't ever recommend a drug which will make you worse. Look keppra is really safe, so safe that I've only had a mild headache on it...Look, I could go on about this forever...But keppra is not dangerous, it's given to babies from 1 month old. I think a drug which is safe for babies will be safe for you. Chill.

@Danny Boy idk why but it is more expensive here.. My friend even lookd online for it and it was even more expensive mexico is cheaper on the dollar .. But yeah ima buy a package and see if it works..and was that the same dosage viking was on? Or is everyone different?

I hope you don't overpay, but understand the desperation. It's your call. It takes a few weeks to kick in and you'd need to be on it for 2-3 months. It won't work right away, I'd say 2 weeks until you start seeing results, but 2-3 months permanent results.

don`t wait for the fat lady to sing ... it will hurt your ears :p

Yeah, I'm baffled why people are scared to take it? If hyperacusis is consuming their lives and there's a treatment out there, a chap one at that, why the sigma on keppra? I truly don't understand.

From the things I ready it seems safe enough to try it .. . so yes, I also don`t understand. Still waiting for trobalt to amaze me. Seems it does have some influence on my H. cutlery on plates doesn`t make my eardrums to contract as much as before. But not making any statements too soon, still waiting for that OH this is what it does moment! ... this morning woke up form T and couldn`t fall asleep for hours ...

That is not fair dan! How do you know how desperate he is - just cause he is polite and reasonable and practical in his email does not mean that he is not desperate. You cant know how or what he or anyone is feeling or going through just by reading their posts here - if he is willing to pay shed loads for keppra from Mexico then he must be in a bad way otherwise he would not even be discussing it would he........sorry but had to say this...........just want people to remain sympathetic here.

I didnt know he ordered Keppra from Mexico. I thought he was having second thoughts. Apologies.

@Danny Boy

From what I have read in Dutch patients forum is that it might give negative and/or aggressive feelings. Did you notice any of those? I must add that those users might use high doses and or use it for quite some time.

Oddly enough, it's gonna affect everyone differently. Those side-effects you mention are nothing too troubling. Trust me, some anti-depressants can cause you to have dark thoughts and trobalt is meant to carry the same risk alongside many, many horrid side-effects. If you wanna get rid of reactive tinnitus/hyperacusis then these side-effects are very mild compared to living with hyperacusis forever.

@dan and how do u know im not desperate just because im not on here begging for my life or saying im suicidal? How do you know i aint suicidal huh just because i dont mention it on here? I am desperate i have very bad reactive t from my H my T is so horrid i cant even describe it to u, my H reacts to everything it is ridiculous .Im asking danny boy certain qs, im not going to take something just because someone says so.. I have to get some info first.. And i am getting it, just waiting to get picked up..

People need to chill @dan and @Danny Boy have some mercy, geezus.. .
Seriously...and @Danny Boy you won't even take advil?! wth you gonna do if you get sick, I mean really sick? Turmeric ain't gonna cut it! I take all sorts of drugs that are " ototoxic"..thats probably why I am worse...or could be this..or that...

.anyways on that note..ya know, the one the fat lady ends with..I'm going to ask my Neurologist for Keppra after he gets his results back concerning whether or not I have SCDS..will keep you @Geo updated..and anyone else who cares.
