In America we have this magically restaurant called Chik-fil-A. It is little chickens. For some odd reason liberals hate this restaurant. I'm not exactly sure why. They have this sauce that is like crack cocaine for the tastebuds. They are a little on the pricey side though.

Hey Dave, the way I see it, being manipulated is only a problem if you don't know you're being manipulated. Since you do know it, then it's quite allright. So I say, enjoy it!

You are absolutely right Lane.
I was being disingenuous.
When I said 'I hate being manipulated by Hollywood' I was feigning annoyance to cover up the fact that I had a tear in my eye, and a catch in my voice.
My misus was sitting on the settee quite near me, and said '"are you crying?"
"No - of course I'm not."
(But I was.)
Another cover-up tactic I often use is the fake coughing fit - and she doesn't fall for that one either.
And now you've sussed me out!

I tend to restrict myself to this little arty corner mostly these days.
Being misunderstood and misrepresented in text is not a very pleasant experience for me, or for anybody else, come to that.
