See, you have organic problems? Addressing those organic problems may bring down the tinnitus. On seeing the ENT I mentioned ear pain and the weird feeling of muscular tension over all my head
Hey there,
I have sometimes for a few seconds like a "needle in my ear" pain. Not very often and it really goes away in seconds. It only appears on my left ear where I also have a hearing loss 90db at 5khz and Tinnitus. Right ear nothing like that. Additional I have numb feeling on the left side of my head beginning at the back, front, forehead, cheek, etc. (only left side)
Tubes are also clear i just have a sinusitis also left sided seems to be chronic but ENT says thats not the reason for the numb feeling.
Are your muscular tensions more like a numb feeling like I have? My orthopedist told me that it could happen from fascia problems around your shoulders/neck. I do a lot of workaround right now and some massages...to get the tension of the fascia away but it appeared with my hearing loss/tinnitus so I am not sure if it is not related to it...still try to find answers for that.
Dont know if that input helps you!
I have had this exact thing during periods of stress and worry. Doctors suggested sinus or dental/TMJ sources. It was none of those. Sometimes it can make your head feel heavy too. It does go away! It can take weeks or longer though. It's one of those things where there is no clear cause. Whether it be neurotransmitters or muscular tension, or both. But it does and will go away once you start to feel peace and contentment again.
If any other person in the forum feels the same, I would like you to tell me
Yes my friend much the same for me. Hard to put the feeling into words.
Cheers.
hey. thx for the answer
How long do you feel like that?
sometimes at night I find that background more present than my buzz
I have felt like that for almost 2 weeks now. And yes the tension seems more than the ringing.
I hope we both find a solution.
Cheers.
I have this condition now for at least 3-4 months. ENTs said that this could be from my hearing loss like touching my ear doesnt feel the same anymore as before my hearing loss (more numb), others said its from pills I took in the beginning of my hearing loss "blood flow stimulation". Now thats months ago and I still have that condition!
@monkey legs , @fran dana , @Melike , @tiniturtle you all have nearly same symptoms could I ask you if you all have hearing loss? just a quick research and how many db at which hz? And if your T. is high frequency. I just want to know if those symptoms are hearing loss related or T. related (high tones - stresslevel) or maybe both.
Tension: head, left sided, forehead, cheek, chin and going all back behind my head.
Tinnitus: left ear, high tones, electrical noises, going up and down all the time - changing very often
Hearing loss: at 5khz 90db same for all khz above 5khz so high frequencies completly gone.
Hearing aid: none
