When will this be available?

They are shooting for Ireland / Europe release end of 2018, beginning of 2019. They still need FDA approval for US markets.

They better hurry the f up.
Second President of the USA has set the tone. Hurry the F up MuteButton...

I'll be buying one as soon as it gets released and will report back.

It has to do something; the results of their double blind study are too good to be a device which does nothing plus they have a top ENT Consultant from the Hermitage Clinic in Dublin on board.

There's no way he'd be standing over it if it doesn't work.

Looks like Conor McGregor and MuteButton may be the top 2 exports from Ireland this last couple of years!

Go on MuteButton, get in there!

Susan Shore to follow up and shut this baby up for good!

They are talking about 'reducing tinnitus symptoms' and 'positive therapeutic benefits' but nowhere does it say that it will reduce the volume... Tinnitus symptoms could also be distress or intrusiveness. Guess only time will tell. (I mean, if this device reduced tinnitus, wouldn't they say it? Why keep it a secret if it can lower the volume?)
It says it lowers the tinnitus volume by 42% in the first trial - The second trial states that 80% got a long term reduction...

I've posted too much - I'm off ... ! Best of luck guys, and fingers crossed it does something. R

Oh jesus hype train off the rails right now!

Actually my name is referencing the 6th president John Quincy Adams.

Hi Steve,

Just back on here today after a long absence. Wow I am totally blown away that MuteButton II is on the horizon for launch soon and with bona fide double blind results as well.

When these guys launched MuteButton I it had zero evidence for efficacy and the science behind it was absolute rubbish.

In your opinion is this now in the realm of a genuine device? With actually confirmed efficacy?

I am in Ireland so excuse my excitement at the thoughts this could be released soon.

If it does indeed work there will be a big party in Dublin!

R
Are you going to help smuggle these into the US for us? C'mon man we saved your asses in WW2.

I think we all need to be cautious with MuteButton if we use it. It may give us confidence to encounter loud sounds and cause us to hurt ourselves further.

Also for the hype too, before I buy I will wait for someone here to test. If I'm going to spend thousands of dollars on a device, I want to be sure as hell that it works.

I have thought about this as well. This will only help reduce how we perceive tinnitus, but not the damage to our auditory system. I can see some people who have their tinnitus reduced "forget" about it and engage in dangerous sound level activities again. We will still need to practice safe hearing levels going forward.

Today is the day everyone! The presentation is a 3:45 pm. I'm not sure how we will be able to access the information, but I am hoping one of the following happens;
  • Someone records it
  • The presentation is released in text form
  • The full study is published today
We will have to watch the Neuromod Twitter feed!

3:45 in what time zone?

I hope this will reach Russia, will we be able to cooperate with this company despite the sanctions?

Otherwise, I will have to personally strangle Putin and return the Crimea.

We can change Istanbul back into Constantinople while we're at it.

I've tried to get into contact with them via email regarding how to access the presentation or information from the presentation. I'll update you all once I get a response.

Can someone help me here. On this page for the convention it says:

https://www.entnet.org/content/aao-hnsf-annual-meeting-oto-experience

"Whether you missed the AAO-HNSF Annual Meeting or couldn't make it to all the sessions on your list, you can still catch up on the latest science through the official Annual Meeting Webcast library-online at your convenience."

I can't find where the webcast library is.

Here is the schedule page

It's not available for the general public, the webcasts that is:

https://www.entnet.org/content/annual-meeting-webcasts

"Simply visit www.academyu.org and log in with your Academy ID and password. Once there, click on the AU Catalog tab, second from the left on the tool bar, then scroll to the bottom of the page and look for the "Activity Series" section on the left column, from there select Annual Meeting Webcasts (AmW). The complete list of sessions will be shown."

Here are the webcasts, but again, need to have the aforementioned Academy ID and password.

That is unfortunate. I really hope we can access this information somehow in the near future.
