I totally disagree.

I think she has already figured it out!

She is a lovely caring lady - A gem and a genius.

We just have to trust she'll get it out fast...
I have mild to medium tinnitus and I've also got some reactive tinnitus but the reactive tinnitus isn't as reactive as it once was. These products should work for me right?

Did ACRN or TinniTool prove that the device worked? All they really have to do is prove it's not gonna harm you.

As someone who has watched new treatments unfold over the years, I now know to hold my money back before a strong evidence base builds up...
They are going to release it in the market before publishing any clinical trial results. I'm feeling doubtful here. (n)
Me too. I am sorry, but this really smells like a scam :( I sure as hell am not gonna buy such an expensive device if I don't have any hard evidence that it works.......not unless I can give it back, and have a full refund.

Perhaps the name "MuteButton" should be changed, sounds as fishy as TinniTool, Tinnex, TinAway.

Regardless though, the Neuromod website looks very professional, but I've got more of a hard on for Susan Shore's device.

Neuromodulation, Signal timing, ion channels being investigated, regeneration of hair cells and repair of ribbon synapses, all reasons to be excited.

Going back ten years ago, there was not much apart from snake oil, acupuncture, laser therapies, Neuromonics.

I wonder if we will be back here in 10 years saying 10 years ago there was this and other speculative treatments, and now there is this promise.

I just hope, as a layman in terms of inner ear biology and brain neutrons etc that they are really making advancements.

I just hope the person or people who invent the treatment or "cure" are going to let me kiss them on the lips.

When it comes to Denmark you will more than likely be able to get it for free.

Susan Shore won't do anything for me.

1. I do not have somatic tinnitus

2. I have quite bad hyperacusis.

Maybe. But it is not a given that it will be released here and if it does it could take several years.....I think.

If they are not releasing the outcome of the study you can bet that it wasn't good.

If someone found the cure it would've been all over the place and everyone would want that slice of pizza.

Where in Denmark are you from? Anywhere near Esjberg?

Susan Shore is going to confirm if it will work on non-somatic tinnitus as well.

The page for her current study on the US clinical trials website states that in order to be included in the study you:
  • Must be able to modulate their tinnitus with a somatic maneuver
If they aren't even testing it on non-somatic tinnitus how will they know if it will work or not.

Nope, about 120 km from Esbjerg, or 75 miles. I live in a city called Silkeborg on the island of Jutland.

But I am curious how you know Esbjerg? Where are you from?

Agree with your sentiment but I think they cannot divulge the full results yet else it could interfere with the peer review process, something like that.

I'm a mathematician also interested in gambling - If I had to give starting odds on MuteButton it would be the following:

It works 50/1
It is neutral and doesn't damage what you've got 10/1
It doesn't work 1/100

Sorry I am Irish and I want to believe these guys but just can't. On gut instinct I think it's up there with Antinitus.

I could be wrong and as I say I'll try it but those are my gut instincts.

Sorry guys but this is a repeat of release 1 and I firmly believe the results will never ever be peer reviewed or displayed and if they are they will be long after they have coined it in from the tinnitus community and they will be negative or slightly positive (to a negligible and subjective placebo level).

Those are my gut feelings at this point (apologies to everyone but that's how I feel right now).

Well, I hope you're wrong, and I'm sure you do too lol. They do look pretty legit, but yeah the whole previous release thing makes it seem fishy.

Oh also I don't get your numbering system for the odds.

I was there on a course for a good few months, nice little city. Love the Danes. They even carried me from the pub to the taxi on my first night there haha.
